According to a recent study, it has been revealed that 45% of people do not bother to change their underwear on a daily basis.
Do you change your underwear every day? This may sound like a question that doesn’t need to be asked, but apparently, it really does.
New research conducted by underwear manufacturer Tommy John revealed that approximately 45% of people do not change their underwear on a daily basis.
Disturbed yet? Well, you might also like to know that of these 45% percent of people, 13% actually wear the same pair of underpants for a whole week!
The survey was conducted from 1,000 Americans and of these, it was more common in men. With men two and half times more likely to be found reusing their undies for the next day.
However, it was also noted in the research that people were more likely to re-wear dirty underwear if they had owned the pair for over a year. What loyalty!
A large portion of those in the survey (45%) had kept a hold of their favourite underwear for over a year, with many having forgotten when they actually bought them.
Thankfully, that part of the research didn’t reveal as much gross information. Although it has a certainly caused a debate on Twitter…
Grossest thing I’ve read all month.

Tommy John does recommend that you kick this habit though, advising to purchase a new set of underwear every six months.
Clean, fresh underwear means less chance of bacteria building and causing a yeast infection, therefore fewer doctors trips for you. Dirty underwear can also cause skin problems, such as acne.
