Novelty gins are becoming more and more popular and this latest concoction is an absolute belter!
Who doesn’t love a cheeky Terry’s chocolate orange? The ultimate Christmas stocking filler is, without doubt, one of the best chocolatey treats on the market and frankly, anyone who disagrees is wrong.
Well, chocolate orange fans around the world will be delighted to know that you can now buy a chocolate orange flavoured gin from Amazon and it sounds absolutely delicious!
Creators of the gin, the That Boutique-y Gin Company, claim the ‘richness of chocolate makes a great partner to the vibrant zestiness of orange’ and so have therefore combined the two flavours together.
According to the tasting notes on their website, customers can expect ‘a thick and creamy spirit’, with a finish of ‘lingering citrus and a pinch of junipery pepper’ and has notes of ‘milk chocolate and zesty orange’, obviously.
I’m not exactly a gin connoisseur, but that sounds good to me!
As well as the chocolatey taste, the novelty gin also packs a punch, with a 46% ABV content rating which, considering most gins on the market have an ABV of somewhere between 35-50%, this one is certainly up there in terms of strength.
If the idea of mixing chocolate orange and gin sounds like heaven in a glass for you though, luckily there are plenty of places where you can pick up a bottle. Amazon is currently selling the bottle for the best price, at just £21.95 and the online gin store House Of Malt also selling the 50cl bottle for £31.99.
If chocolate orange isn’t for you though, there are also plenty of other flavours available from Okado, including a watermelon edition.
There has been a huge rise in demand for novelty flavoured gins recently and last week we reported that ASDA is the latest supermarket to get on board the retro-flavoured bandwagon.
The supermarket recently announced they were releasing 3 brand new tipples, based on the classic sweet flavours of Sherbet Lemon, Pear Drops and Parma Violets. The shimmery gins hit shelves last week and are even available online for just £18 per bottle.
All this talk of gin is making me quite thirsty, is too early to head to the pub?
