Aldi is now stocking a halloumi burger, and the company has announced that the sell-out fries are making a very welcome return.
Aldi has announced that they have launched a halloumi burger and are planning on keeping their sell-out halloumi fried cheese sticks in stores until next January.
The German supermarket released the halloumi fries for the first time last year, and shoppers went crazy for the cheesy delights.
The halloumi burgers are on sale in Aldi stores for the price of £2.29 each, with 190g per pack.
Last year, the retail price was £1.99 which means you’ll be spending an extra 30p. However, this is unlikely to stop shoppers as last year people resorted to desperate measures to get their hands on more.
Customers began to share posts to social media which revealed that freezers in the stores were being left empty after shoppers had swiped the halloumi goods off the shelf.
This is not the only halloumi product you will see in your local Aldi, as they have also released halloumi wrapped in bacon as a part of their festive menu.
Aldi’s Christmas menu is full of delicious treats, including an entire roast dinner inside a Yorkshire pudding, for the bargain price of £1.99.
The store has also announced you will be able to purchase a two-meter-long pig in blanket, a perfect Christmas centrepiece. For £4.99, you could have the whole family fed on a 6ft 5in sausage that is wrapped in crispy flavour-filled streaky bacon.
