Aldi has released a two-meter-long pig in blanket which will certainly make a yummy dish for that perfect Christmas day.
It’s 88 days until Christmas, but that shouldn’t stop you from eyeing up the festive grub. And Aldi has made it that little bit more difficult to do so with their two-meter-long pig in blanket.
It’s the answer to your meat-eating prayers, a porky staple dish that is an iconic part of your Christmas day dinner.
This extra-long piece of sausage measures out to be 6ft 5in, which means this piece of sausage is actually longer than the average man!
It doesn’t sound like this could be made any better, but Aldi has only gone and made it the bargain price of £4.99 – you’re probably going to want to buy quite a few.
Aldi claims that this is the lengthiest piece of pork you’ll find in UK supermarkets, but unfortunately, it’s not available for another two months. The extra-long novelty sausage will be landing in Aldi stores on Thursday, 5 December.
Until then, you’re going to have to envision the 6.5ft long piece of succulent sausage, which is wrapped in a crispy flavour-filled streaky bacon.
An Aldi spokesperson stated: ‘We Brits love a good Pig in Blanket, but there never seems to be quite enough to go around the Christmas table.
“If you can relate, you won’t want to miss the latest tasty creation from supermarket Aldi.”
This announcement comes a year after Aldi’s unveiling of their foot-long piece of pig in blanket. These pigs in blankets came in packs of two and were also a bargain for £2.99.
The supermarket claimed it was the ‘Ultimate Pig in Blanket’, being able to serve up to 10 people, but it looks like they may have outdone themselves.
Aldi made a speech at the time: “Enjoy 2 succulent foot-long British pork sausages wrapped in delicious smoked streaky bacon. Made from 100% British meat, this is the biggest pig in blanket on the market.”
The 6ft 5in sausage is a part of the SpecialBuy range which means when it hits the stores, it’ll only be available whilst stocks last.
