The most magical place on earth has been discovered, and no it’s not Disneyland or Lapland. It’s the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa where Christmas is celebrated all year round!
Tucked away in the White Mountains of Jackson, New Hampshire, the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa is a positively charming bed and breakfast inn that celebrates Christmas all year round, regardless of whether or not it’s boiling outside.
It’s not just the hotel that’s inspired by the festive period, the inn has dedicated each of its guest bedrooms to holiday-inspired names such as Rudolph, Yuletide, Mistletoe, Elves, and Everything Nice. The inn also has a restaurant, the Mistletoe Pub, which serves an English dinner – hopefully, they stock up on Christmas crackers!
The 15-acre resort makes the perfect spot for weddings and romantic getaways, just imagine been tucked away in the mountains with a cup of cocoa and a log fire, it sounds like something straight out of a movie.
If you’re thinking “yeah, it sounds great – but what about the kids?”, then think again. The Christmas Farm Inn & Spa is just a five-minute journey from Story Land, and 45 minutes from Santa’s Village.
Not only is the inn idyllic to look at, but it also has an interesting history. Once part jail, part church, part farmhouse, the property is believed to have been built in 1778.
The hotel was finally dubbed the Christmas hotel in 1933 after a man purchased the property for his daughter – which is pretty generous, as far as presents go.
The daughter had ambitions to turn the property into a working farm, but after her vision failed she had no choice but to sell up in 1946. The property was taken over by a couple in 2010 and was officially named the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa.
Since then, the place has gone from strength to strength and people have nothing but praise according to the reviews online.
Nathan R reviewed the inn on Facebook: “Rustic, charming and quaint. The fireplace is awesome and they will serve you drinks right in front of it. Bring a book and cozy up in one of the many comfortable chairs.
“The workout facility was a nice touch as well. I would definitely come here again for a nice relaxing weekend.”
Eric F on Facebook added: “Very cute and quirky rooms, great service and beautiful surrounding scenery! Amazing getaway!”
One thing to look out for if you ever get the opportunity to visit the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa is the special photo in the lobby. This is an image of the first generation of the Freeman family who visited the hotel (and they were the first-ever hotel guests, all the way back in 1946).
For the past three years, the Freeman family has been visiting the unique inn every single year – really making it an enviable Christmas tradition.
