A teen went on This Morning in 2016 and spoke to hosts Holly and Phillip as he discussed his dream look like David Beckham – describing how he had already spent £20k on various procedures. [SCROLL TO BOTTOM FOR VIDEO]
But as a baffled Holly and Phil looked on, he said that he intended to spend £30k more to realise his dream…of looking like a different person.
Hey, listen, we’ve all got to have dreams, but really?
Despite the fact that the teen, who was jobless, said that he received £15 thousand a year in benefits, he also said that he had to rely on loans in order to pay for his cosmetic procedures.
Appearing on This Morning in 2016, the then-19 year old Nottingham-native Jack Johnson explained to the befuddled presenting team that looking like the former football player made him happy.
Speaking to them, the jobless teen said: “David Beckham I love him, how he looks his lifestyle. When I try and look like David Beckham I feel much better about myself inside.”
But the presenters became increasingly concerned when his plans to carry on with thousands of pounds worth of treatments came into the discussion, as Phil asked: “With picking someone like David Beckham. You’ve got to have the bone structure to work on because it’s going to be very hard to look like him.”
Oh come on Phil, he’s already spent an annual wage on looking like David Beckham, do you really think he’s going to let something piffling like the fundamental structure of his skull get in the way? You fool!
But Jack had thought this out, saying: “Obviously I know I don’t look like him I’m not that stupid…” which is a bit rich really, having already spent £20k on looking like him, and still acknowledging that after all that, he still looks literally nothing like him.
But when Phil asked how he was planning to bridge that gap, the teen responded: “Easy another £30,000…”
The procedures that he had included, but were not limited to: cheek fillers, eyebrow HD lift, chin fillers, lip fillers, dental veneers, monthly tanning injections. He also said that he wanted to get a gastric band.
It’d be way cheaper to just join a gym, mate.
He explained that he had tried “every diet in the book” to achieve a body like the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and England star, but in the end gave up and opted for the short cut by trying to convince doctors to allow his gastric band surgery.
Holly said that Jack had comment on the fact that “doctors had kicked him out” after he constantly visited GPs, saying: “I’ve tried every diet in the book to lose weight. I need the gastric band to help me.”
Mom-of-three Holly then suggested that maybe it would be better if the teen “worked (sic) on the person you are right now.” But he insisted that he was happy, despite being thousands of pounds in debt and not looking anything like David Beckham.
Phil then asked how the teen planned to pay off the huge amounts of debts that he had already racked up, but he didn’t really seem to have an answer.
The presenter even expressed concerns about his mental health saying: “Isn’t that going to make you sadder? That you don’t look like Beckham and that you’ll be in thousands of pounds worth of debt.”
But Jack kept insisting that he “felt amazing”, and thought that because he “didn’t fit in anywhere” he deserved to be on TV or go into acting.
I’m sorry, but that’s not how fame is supposed to work, really. I know it is nowadays, and some people’s ambitions are simply to be famous because they don’t want to put the work in to earn it. But fame is supposed to be a byproduct of something someone has done that made them worthy of note.
Whether it be music, acting, books, being an intellectual, fame is a byproduct of those types of things. Not just because you “don’t fit in.”
Anyway, rant over. Phil countered and said that the young man shouldn’t just expect to become famous, but Jack seemed to say that that he was keen to work hard to be famous for being famous, saying: “I want to be good at it, I don’t want stuff chucked at me I want to work my butt off to get my goal. I do love myself how I am, I just want to look like David Beckham.”
Viewers at home were also concerned with the teen’s desire just to be famous and his apparent disregard for money, and also his desperation to look like Becks, who earned his riches because he was one of the best footballers in the world in his prime.
One person said: “This is exactly what is wrong with young people in this country deluded and want to be famous more than anything. RIP dignity,” said one.
Another said: “This guy who wants to look like David Beckham is totally deluded. Glad @hollywills and @ Schofe are being real with him. # thismorning.”
“Dear god the deluded young man on thismorning Schofe handling well!” another praised the presenters.
“A male Josie Cunningham, deluded lazy idiot # thismorning,” blasted another.
But just when you thought that it couldn’t get any more crazy, Jack has now decided that he wants to look like David’s son, Brooklyn Beckham.
And in the last two years, things have changed for the now-21 year old, who is now homeless, couch-surfing between friends, and claiming that he is using five “sugar daddies” to fund his new dream to look like Brooklyn Beckham.
After years of trying to look like Beckham, he now wants a “younger, fresher” look.
He has said more recently that he is spending £350 and £400 a week on procedures including vampire facials and thread facelifts.
Jack spoke to the Mirror Online recently and said: “I’ve been busy finding myself over the last few months and now I want to look like Brooklyn Beckham.”
“David is obviously very attractive but he’s getting older now and I want a younger, fresher look.
“Brooklyn is more in the limelight and now when I go to my surgeon or beauty therapist, I take a picture of him.”
“It is costing me a fortune and I’m not working so I have about five sugar daddies,” Jack explained.
“I don’t have to do anything intimate with them, I just go out for luxury dinners and attend exclusive events by their side.
“It’s a simple transaction – they’re not really my friends.”
Jack said that he was forced to leave home last year because he had spent all the money that was meant for rent on surgery.
He claims, however, that his sugar daddies allow him to enjoy the finer things in life.
“I’m homeless, well, sofa surfing with friends and family, at the moment because I can’t afford to live alone,” he said.
“I was spending all my rent money on my face.
“My daddies make sure I can afford the surgery and they give me amazing gifts like designer handbags and clothes.
“I’m always drinking champagne and eating nice food.”
“I’ve spent roughly £9k so far on looking like Brooklyn and the results are amazing,” he said.
“When I look back at myself on This Morning I think I look like Mr Potato Head from Toy Story.
“Now I’m much more comfortable and people who give me a hard time are just jealous and bitter.
“It’s my body and I’m a grown man so I’m not ashamed of what I do. I want to be famous so I am working at it.
“Look at Rylan Clark-Neal – he wanted to be famous and now he is.”
As for his sugar daddies that fund not only his surgeries but the lifestyle he lives, who he claims are all wealthy businessmen, he added: “Look at it the way I do – it’s like doing charity work. I love making money and living a better lifestyle and they like my company.
“When I tell people what I do they always have bad opinions, but us sugar babies are the ones getting driven around in amazing cars.
“If people want to moan, let them, because I’m the one who’s winning.”
