Since her career began, the Queen of Pop has been serving her fans (and anyone else, for that matter) shocking moments, and it seems as though now that she reaches the autumn of her years, nothing is about the change!
Never exactly the one to be known as the shy and retiring type, obviously, even at the age of 59, but the queen of controversy has managed to keep herself in the public eye and caused outrage yet again by sharing a topless selfie on Instagram.
The singer posted the jaw dropping picture onto her Instagram page and it showed her exposing her bare breasts and nipples – which, as you can see, have been not so carefully edited over with a scratchy black cross.
“Still drooling over a handbag,” Madonna wrote in the caption, referencing the Louis Vuitton purse she was clutching.
But I can imagine that not many people were actually checking the bag out.
The Like A Virgin singer pouted for the camera and gave us a sneak peak of her happenin’ gold grill as she posed almost completely naked – except for a few quirky multi coloured beats that were wrapped around her neck.
The singer appeared to be having a down moment as she wrote in the caption “no friends” and “Lisbon is far.”
Is she embarrassing her son? She has posted many other controversial Instagram posts
Madonna recently moved her family to the Portuguese capital so that her eleven year old son, David Banda, could join the Sporting Lisbon football team youth academy.
While the singer may gripe about a lack of companionship in Lisbon, she can at least take solace in the feedback she has received from her latest overshare, with plenty of comments and ‘likes’ from her followers.
However, a number of other social media users were not so congratulatory.
“Grow the hell up!” one fired.
“Pathetic to have to show your old boobs at almost 60,” ranted another.
However, some fans stuck up for the Material Girl’s body-confidence, with one commenting: “HER body, HER face, HER choices.”
“Love ya Madonna don’t let the b*stards and haters get you down you just keep doing what you’re doing,” praised another.
While a third protested: “She can show her body whenever she wants no matter her age. It’s her right. Go Madonna go. ”
Whilst you may feel a little down in the dumps on Madonna’s behalf as she moans about a lack of close pals in her new home of Lisbon, don’t shed a tear just yet, as the singer has reportedly moved into an 18th century palace in Lisbon.
The Queen of Pop is said to have hired the palace initially for a year with an option to buy at the end of that time if she and her family have adapted to life in Portugal.
Before moving into her palatial new digs, the 59 year old New Yorker and her children were staying in a luxury Lisbon hotel after relocating to the city in an effort to support her 12 year old son’s football career.
Portuguese magazine Flash reported that on 8th January this year, the singer had ordered seven roasted chickens, rice and potatoes for herself, her children and the staff of the residence.
Shortly after, two of Madonna’s bodyguards were said to have left the palace in order to pick up Madonna’s eleven year old daughter Mercy from school.
It is reported that the singer is now dividing her time between Lisbon, The UK and the USA, as her son Dave Banda joined the Sporting Lisbon youth academy this year, who are one of the biggest clubs in Portugal.
Local media reported in August: “Madonna is no longer a tourist, she now lives in Lisbon”, hot on the heels of the news that she was “uprooting” her family from their New York home to start a new life.
The reported move comes after Madonna revealed she plans to build four schools in Malawi, where all four of her adopted children, David, Mercy, Esther and Stella were born.
The Material Girl singer posted a sweet snap of herself with a group of children from Malawi asking her followers to “BE the CHANGE” they want in 2018 at the start of the year.
“This year we’ll begin by building 4 brand new schools in the Kasungu District of Malawai,” the pop superstar, captioned the photo. “Let’s start 2018 off right. I’m challenging you all to stand up, come together and BE the CHANGE you want to SEE in the World!”
Madonna then went on to tag Instagram accounts that would help raise money for the charitable project, as she continued: “That’s 14 schools in total that will help thousands of kids get the education they so rightfully deserve! Now is the time! Joine the #revolutionoflove!”
More embarrassing celebrity mothers
She certainly has shown that she is fully committed not only to doing all she can for her kids (I mean, moving to Lisbon so that her son can join a football academy is pretty selfless, even if she has moved into a palace), as well as making a difference to the lives of those less fortunate in the less developed nations of our global community.
BUT…even though she’s turned into somewhat of a supermom recently, that doesn’t mean she isn’t as cringe as any mom on social media.
Spare a thought, if you will, for the children of Madonna. Because she may be famous, but she is, when it comes down to it, exactly the same as us, and as we all can attest when our parents venture into the heart of darkness that is social media, it can get a little bit embarrassing!
And indeed, for children everywhere as they grow into adults, it has been a rite of passage throughout the ages to be embarrassed by our parents, as they claim that they are still “with it.”
From Liz Hurley, to Victoria Beckham, to the mums of Cara Delevingne , Jamie Oliver and Beyonce, it just goes to show that no matter how world famous you are, you’re always going to be mummy’s little ray of sunshine.
Don’t just take my word for it, have a look at this snaps from awkward social media uploads from parents of famous faces, and think back to all the times in your life that your parents, god love them, made you want to crawl inside yourself and die with embarrassment!
