Fresh off of winning this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and being crowned this year’s Queen of the Jungle, Georgia “Toff” Toffolo has sparked confusion as she poses for a bit of a bizarre online snap.
Toff came in ahead of second place soap star Jamie Lomas and third place radio DJ Iain Lee – in a series that was marred by controversy both in and out of the jungle, as it seemed that the producers plan to inject some life into what some fans regarded as the most boring series ever, severally backfired on them as Dennis Wise, Jamie Lomas and Amir Khan were all accused of bullying and isolating Iain Lee from the rest of the group.
There was also some controversy with the fans at home who slammed the fact that despite all of the hate that Lomas had received from viewers at home, and despite all the bullying allegations, he still came in second ahead of Iain.
But it was Toff that won out overall, as she claimed the title of Queen of the Jungle.
But fans have now been divided for another reason, as the reality TV star, who made a name for herself on Made in Chelsea, was pictured sitting on the lap of Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Arnold.
Following her Queen of the Jungle triumph, the 48-year-old presenter interviewed Toff at the plush and palatial Versace hotel in Australia. It was there that the picture was taken.
And while the duo are all smiles for the image, it didn’t take long for the snap to be awash with comments after it was uploaded to Richard Arnold’s Instagram page.
And needless to say, fans have been divided with what they think about the picture.
One person took to social media and said: “Is anyone else uncomfortable at the fact she’s sitting on his lap?”
While a second fumed: “Why is a grown woman sitting on your lap like a child or a doll? Give her a seat for Christ sake.”
Referencing a previous snap with Rebekah Vardy, a third continued: “Second pic now with young lady on your lap… didn’t have Boris’ dad on your lap did you.”
“Creepy photo,” a fourth accused.
However, others didn’t find anything wrong with the shot and loved it.
“That’s a great photo,” one follower praised.
“The world has gone mad. She’s sitting on his lap for Christ sake,” another fan hit back.
“Get a grip you lot. Great girl great guy. A fun photo. Disgusting to suggest otherwise.”
A third continued: “I don’t know why some people making a fuss about this photo.
“If it was okay for Santa back in his grotto 60/70s it’s ok now.”
Well in fairness, we were all a bit younger when we sat on Santa’s lap back then! I don’t think I would be alone if I saw an adult waiting in line at Santa’s grotto tomorrow and thought “well, that’s a bit odd.”
Although to be fair, while some people think it’s a bit odd, it’s not to say that Richard was the one asking her to sit on his knee.
Maybe there was just one chair, or maybe the producers just wanted a more intimate looking shot that would make the ITV viewers feel the warmth among everyone!
Although, that was a good point about Stanley Johnson.
Meanwhile, fans were shocked and left amazed when they caught a glimpse of the Made in Chelsea star’s “ageless grandparents” who flew out to Australia to surprise her following her stint in the jungle.
The I’m A Celeb winner posted a heart-warming picture to her Instagram as she posed with her grandparents as they enjoyed their last meal before she jetted off back to London.
As she spoke on This Morning, Toff said that she was delighted to see that her nan and granddad were waiting for her after she was crowned Queen of the Jungle.
She told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “I kept saying to my mum and dad that I had to ring my grandparents and then I walked into the canteen and there they were. It was the most amazing moment.”
Toff clearly couldn’t be happier to have her family around her at such a special time, and was beaming in the photo.
Along with the picture that was uploaded to her Instagram page, she wrote: “Breakfast with my Nanny and Granddad I can’t stop smiling!!!!!!!!!!! Best surprise ever. The moment I walked into the canteen yesterday and they were standing there, just amazing last breakfast with my wonderful jungle family”.
Fans of Toff were astonished at the seemingly ageless appearance of her grandparents, as they flocked to social media to say as much!
One wrote: “Wow! Your nanny is so young and glamorous. Have a wonderful Christmas @toffgeorgia and family and safe journey home.”
Another said: “What a gorgeous Nanny and handsome Grandad you have. They must be so proud of you. Beautiful inside and out.”
A third added: “Toff your nanny looks like she could be your sister, lovely photo and so chuffed for you x”.
After she was crowned the winner of the latest series of I’m A Celeb, Toff treated herself to some shopping and better dining than her diet of rice and beans. In fact, Toff was almost forced to leave the jungle after just the tenth day in, after she broke down to Medic Bob that she was so hungry that she could barely even lift her arms because of her lack of energy.
She told The Sun: “I said to Medic Bob: ‘I can’t carry on.’ I remember trying to do my hair in plaits and I couldn’t even lift my arms up.
“I thought I would have to leave.I didn’t get any extra food or drink. Medic Bob just said: ‘Come on Toff, it’s hit you first because you’re the smallest. Be strong’.
“He gave me the best pep talk, I had a tear rolling down my cheek. He talked me off the edge and I was all right.”
Well, I think she earned her fee, which was reported to be the lowest of any contestant at just 13 thousand big ones!
