I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2018 will be hitting our screens soon but here we can reveal a sneak preview of what’s to come for the upcoming Jungle dwellers and it’s not looking too pretty.
A first look at the new jungle camp has revealed that construction is well under way and there are exciting new elements to look forward to.
Holly Willoughby and veteran Dec Donnelly will be putting this year’s contestants through their paces by exposing them to some of the most horrifying situations and trials yet.
Who will be facing the scary new trials?
While ITV is keeping the I’m Celeb line up closely under wraps, there are a fair few names who are strongly rumoured for jungle life. Celebs said to be entering the jungle include Coleen Nolan, Strictly Come Dancing star Brendon Cole and Katie Price’s ex Kieran Hayler.
Also disgraced comedian Seann Walsh – who last weekend was knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing and hit the headlines after kissing his dance partner Katya Jones is thought to be taking part.
In the running too are legendary football manager Harry Redknapp, who has spoken about a potential appearance, and Coronation Street star Sair Khan.
Other names believed to be going into the jungle are The Chase’s Anne Hegerty, better know and The Governess, and X Factor winner Fleur East.
Creepy House of Horrors revealed
The Celebrities will have to face a brand new house of horrors, which will be the most exciting and elaborate Bushtucker Trial’s to date.
Last year world champion boxer Amir Khan had to enter The Fright House, and it seems like the trial is coming back looking bigger, better and far more terrifying.
The White House building will still be seen in the show but there’s now a strange boat outside and a massive cage full of massive bouncy balls. What will be lurking amongst the ball is yet to be revealed.
It looks like the producers of the show are aiming for a naval theme in this year’s series as there is a second boat with a white mast in a swimming pool, which will presumably be full of water creepy crawlies.
Spooky traps full of monsters have been spotted
One of the scariest new trials looks set to feature some spooky stone tombs which will trap the camp mates with grotesque monsters.
A further trial is not for those who suffer with claustrophobia – thick blocks of stone stand in a clearing, each with a tiny door for the celebs to crawl into and holes for them to put their heads out of.
Celebs will experience a rough ride into the jungle
Canoes were used to transport some of the cast into the jungle last year, but it appears that they’re in for a bumpier trip this time round.
The terrifying zip line will transport camp members into the jungle. It goes through the trees and emerges over a murky looking lake, which could possibly be crocodile and snake infested.
Not quite in-keeping with the jungle surroundings, there is a huge white star hanging down, which is said to possibly feature as part of an opening trial.
Some trials from previous years will remain
Last year’s winner, Made in Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo was lifted into the sky for one trial in a tiny crate filled with wriggling snakes.
This trial will feature again in this year’s series – one difference will be that there will be two crates for a duo to compete together.
In a clearing there is also what looks like a bull ring with an archway for an arena spectacular.
The familiar walk ways and rope bridges that have become synonymous with the show are to remain. The long distance camera shots of celebs walking to their peril on the wobbly planks will again become a familiar sight.
Holly and Dec have their own platform to host from
A platform, perhaps for Holly and Dec to look down on the terrified celebs from a safe vantage point has been spotted.
It will be the first time that Holly will present the show. She certainly has big boots to fill in taking the role of Ant McPartlin who has co-hosted I’m a Celeb with his childhood pal Declan for 16 years.
Ant McPartlin pulled out of the show to focus on his post-rehab sobriety. This announcement came a few months after Ant pleaded guilty to drink driving, and was fined £86,000 in April.
Dec commented on the absence of Ant as: “Whilst I am obviously sad at the thought of being without my best friend in Australia this year, I am proud of the work Ant has been doing privately and I am fully supportive of his decision.
“I’m looking forward to us both being reunited on screen in 2019.”
Holly can’t wait to enter the Jungle
In a statement she said: “I couldn’t be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure.
“I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery. These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit…
“Honestly, I’m a huge fan of ‘I’m a Celebrity’ and actually feel like I’ve won a competition to go and hang out on my favourite show! When is it a good time to tell Dec I’m scared of everything that moves?!”
Taking to Twitter to confirm her departure from the morning TV show, Holly said: “Well that’s goodbye to @thismorning for a little bit…”
Contain yourselves – I’m a Celeb will be hitting our screens soon
In keeping with the show’s tradition, I’m a Celeb will air on Sunday in November for the first episode of the series. This is likely to be either Sunday November 11th or 18th on ITV.
