M&S has launched chilli and cheese hot cross buns and they look absolutely delicious, as well as super spicy!
This Easter, M&S has gone and outdone themselves with their hot cross buns by adding that little bit of spice to mix things up a little.
Made with West Country Farmhouse Cheddar, the hot cross buns sound divine thanks to the caramelised and dried onions, which go along with the red and green jalapenos, chipotle chillies and Worchester and hot pepper sauce!
Not for the faint-hearted, the hot cross buns are the spiciest ones you’ll have ever tried thanks to its level 2 chilli rating!
The spicy hot cross buns will taste delicious just toasted and buttered, topped with cheese, or as M&S has recommended, as a part of Easter Sunday brunch bun filled with crispy bacon, fried egg and avocado.
Sharing the new product on Facebook, M&S wrote: “Hello new flavour alert! These are not just hot cross buns… These are NEW Chilli and Cheese Hot Cross Buns. Visit us in-store to toast the start of the Easter season.”

Not long after the post was shared, people took to the comments section to share their displeasure with M&S’s latest offering.
\One person commented: “Why can’t we just have normal hot cross buns. Invented in my city they are symbolic of easter!”
Another added: “Why do we have to have chilli in everything?? I can’t eat anything with chilli but it’s becoming difficult to find food that hasn’t got chilli in it !!! Ugh!”One said: “Leave hot cross buns alone they should but fruity and spicy and not before Good Friday, that’s the whole point of the cross.”
If you are one of the people who fancy something slightly more traditional when it comes to hot cross buns, M&S has the original hot cross buns filled with juicy fruit, mixed peels and a unique spice blend. Or, you can choose from salted caramel, mini chocolate, Kentish Bramley apple, blueberry, marmalade, golden, luxury and mini luxury, or wheat-free hot cross buns.
The four-pack of hot cross buns are now on special offer for just £1 at M&S between now and February 1.
In other news, M&S’s has brought back their hit Valentine’s Day meal deal for two that costs only £20.
