A mum has thrown an Aldi-themed birthday party for her four-year-old daughter, as she’s absolutely obsessed with the budget store.
Meaghan Singleton, from South Carolina, claims that when she asked her four-year-old daughter what she wanted for her birthday party, she insisted she wanted it to be Aldi-themed. Well, that makes a change from Disney princesses.
Amused by her daughter’s request, Meaghan set about organising the one-of-a-kind birthday bash for her little girl, she even got themed signs and food served in cardboard boxes from the supermarket to make it as authentic as possible.
Saylor, Meaghan’s daughter, wore a custom made dress similar to the Aldi uniform with the logo stitched on.
Meaghan spoke to Insider and said: “Since Saylor could sit in a shopping cart, she’s been coming with me.
“If I say we are going to the store, the first words out of her mouth are, ‘Aldi, right?’ She loves going on the hunt for deals with me.”
The mum and daughter even went to the lengths of having professional photos taken in Aldi’s “fun aisle”, which is the store’s famous miscellaneous aisle that is full of random bargain products.
Meaghan added: “It was so great seeing all the employees love that she loves Aldi as much as they do. They even let her sit at the register.”
The dedicated mum also made cookies shaped like coins, in reference to how customers need them in order to use the shopping trollies.
Saylor apparently adored her birthday party and spent the day running around, declaring: “I love Aldi.”
According to Meagan, Saylor’s favourite part of the decorations was the Aldi cupcake tier which had the label ‘Aldi Finds: Here today, gone tomorrow’.
