Selfridges flagship store in London has opened its Christmas shop 149 days before Christmas, which should certainly get people in the festive spirit.
The world famous department store has announced they are the first store to launch their Christmas section this year in the UK, and possibly Europe.
From September onwards, customers will also be able to purchase a £95 crown tree topper in gold velvet, a £100 30-cm tall Santa yoga figure and a £45 Santa on a motorcycle.
Christmas and home buyer at Selfridges, Eleanor Gregory, explains that the store’s Christmas section is extremely popular out of season with tourists: “We have so many customers visiting from all over the world, eager to snap up festive decorations and souvenirs on their London summer holidays which they can’t buy at home.
“Our summer Christmas shop launch simply addresses the growing demand for convenient Christmas shopping outside the traditional Christmas season for many of our customers.
What should be considered is that there are many organised customers, who simply desire it to be “off their to-do list.”
Of course, this has brought the Christmas fanatics and Scrooges to a debate with some believing that it is far too early to begin the festive celebrations.
