Amazon is the one-stop-shop for all your purchasing needs, with everything from stationery to computer games, furniture to fashion. But, how does “Amazon Dating” sound?
Would you love the chance to add someone who’s ‘exactly your type on paper’ to your cart? Would you love to read customer reviews of your potential mating partner? With Amazon Dating that’s now a reality.
Hold your horses, it’s not actually a real site… yet!
This parody concept popped into our browsers this week, quicker than a right swipe on Tinder and people on Twitter are going mad for it.

In the age where everything is immediately available at your fingertips, the creators of this parody site have left no stone unturned when creating fake dating for real-life singles. There are multiple tabs across the top, underneath the search bar, that allow you to browse through “Deal of the day” “Your last relationship” and “Don’t see what you’re looking for?” (which I recommend you go on if you fancy a quick lol) categories. They really have covered all avenues!
Created by Ani Acopian, Suzy Shinn, Morgan Gruer, and Thinko, Amazon dating allows you to browse and ‘purchase’ hot singles online, see their customer review rating and find out who is Amazon’s Choice and Best Seller.
The site aims to demonstrate 21st century dating at its finest and their ‘Legal’ tab is an example of that. It downloads a PDF NGA…’ Non-Ghosting Agreement’ as many will know (hopefully not you) ‘ghosting’ is a common occurrence in today’s dating scene.
If you take the time to explore the site further you’ll notice clicking on the ‘Help’ tab will not-so-subtly take you to a Wiki How page titled ‘5 Ways to unhook a Bra’. When you’re bored of browsing through potential baes though, head to the ‘Don’t see what you’re looking for tab?’ which will ingeniously take you to the Netflix homepage.
Although at times, it can feel a little uncomfortable and borderline creepy, you have to appreciate the effort of its creators. Perhaps it shouldn’t be recommended for a healthy human romantic relationship but the comedic value is second to none.
Here’s someone unwrapping their purchase.

Although Amazon Dating isn’t real (thank god), Facebook’s new dating site is 100% legit and is available in 20 countries, sooo what’re you waiting for!?
