The largest bakery chain in the UK has announced its newest addition to the Greggs vegan family…the vegan steak bake.
After the highly successful vegan sausage roll, Greggs will soon be launching a vegan steak bake, Vegan Food UK has informed.
The new pastry could hit Greggs stores within weeks according to the popular online organisation. Vegan Food UK shares all the latest vegan reviews, news, and blogs via their multiple social media channels, including their 83.4k following on Instagram.
The company shared a statement on their Instagram page: “[Word has it that] certain Gregg’s Stores in the UK are already preparing for the launch of the Vegan Steak Bake…by the looks of it it’s going to come before Christmas.”
Greggs vegan sausage rolls have already taken the nation by storm, selling out in stores within weeks of hitting the shelves. Greggs boss Roger Whiteside has informed that the bakery giants are trying to create animal-free alternatives to most of their popular food options.
Speaking to LBC in a radio interview Whiteside has said “[they] are working away to see if we can come up with a version of all our bestselling lines because people want vegan options.”
“If we can produce something that tastes just as good as the meat version, then that will sell very successfully.”
If the popularity of the vegan sausage roll is anything to go by, the new vegan steak bake will go down a treat!
