Check out John Cena, Hailee Steinfeld and Bumblebee Director, Travis Knight, talking about the first generation design of the Transformers favourites.
When Transformers: The Last Knight hit our screens last year, most of us knew it would be the final chapter in that particular franchise and especially the last edition that Michael Bay would direct. That certainly now looks to be the case with Bumblebee, given that the whole franchise seems to have taken a trip back in time to the 80’s, as shown in the latest featurette that features John Cena, Hailee Steinfeld and director of the film Travis Knight discussing the throwback feel to the film and the design of the original characters.
Being on set for a movie like Bumblebee must be a fascinating place to be, especially when it comes to the set design and the latest featurette offers a real eye opener into the preparation and dedication to immerse the audience into the world of Transformers. It’s interesting to see just how much thought goes into bringing the classic and original 80’s characters to life and becoming the legendary Transformers that John Cena and Travis Knight grew up with.

Bumblebee takes place 20 years before the events of the original Transformers film and follows the story of Bumblebee who is taken in by teenager Charlie Watson (Hailee Stanfield) after she finds the Transformer in a junkyard. The pair soon find themselves in trouble, with the CIA hunting them down, led by Agent Burns (John Cena) and they quickly find out that Bumblebee may not be the only Transformer on Earth. Directed by Travis Knight, Bumblebee is released next month and Paramount have also released a new clip for the film titled ‘Don’t Run’. Check it out below.
