In the brand new trailer, we see the new cast for the first time and judging by first looks, it seems as though the new series will be less focused on Elizabeth and Phillip’s relationship, and revolve more around the relationships of other members of the Royal Family.
Set during the mid-1960s and 1970s, the new series will focus heavily on the breakup of Princess Margaret’s marriage and the relationship between a young Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.
Naturally, the changing of the cast has dominated most of the pre-production of the new series of The Crown, and even though Season 3 is still yet to be released, the show has already begun filming for Season 4, with Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher and Emma Corrin as Princess Diana.
Since hitting our screens in 2016, The Crown has gone on to become one of Netflix’s most successful original shows, with audiences in the UK and the US seemingly gripped by the dramatised, inside look at the Royal Family with the show, and the cast, winning numerous awards and turning Claire Foy, Vanessa Kirby, and Matt Smith into certified Hollywood stars.
Series 3 of The Crown will return to Netflix on November 17th.
