Seth Rogen has co-produced a film that is basically Superbad for 12-year-olds and it looks amazing!
It’s hard to believe that the comedy Superbad starring Jonah Hill, Emma Stone, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse was released almost 12 years ago.
The reason why Superbad comes into the issue is that Seth Rogen and his creative partner Evan Goldberg who co-wrote the film have teamed up once again and are producing Good Boys, and judging by the trailer it looks like Superbad… but for 12-year-olds.
In the new trailer that has just dropped, we see Seth talking to the three boys about how they’re not allowed to watch the brand new trailer because it’s been deemed too rude.
Hard to argue with it really because in the trailer, we see Max (Jacob Tremblay), Thor (Brady Noon) and Lucas (Keith L. Williams) spying on girls with drones, stealing beer and throwing around sex toys…thinking they are nunchucks. See what you think though, you can check out the hilarious new trailer below.
Good Boys look set to have all the makings of an outrageous hit, as things go terribly wrong for the three boys when the drone they’ve stolen from Max’s Dad to spy on the couple next door breaks.
The boys then end up on an immense adventure, skipping school, ending up at a frat party and accidentally stealing drugs.
Imagine a cross between Superbad and Pee-wee’s Big Adventure and you have Good Boys.
Good Boys also stars Molly Gordon, Lil Rel Howery and Will Forte and was written by Lee Eisenberg & Gene Stupnitsky with Stupnitsky also on directing duties.
The film will be released in August by Universal Studios.
