‘Welcome to the home of The Conjouring Universe’
The brand new and first trailer for everyone’s favourite creepy doll has just dropped and it looks terrifying. Warner Bros. have released the trailer for Annabelle Comes Home this morning and given that today is April fools, part of me thought it would be a parody; a heartwarming new take on the horror franchise with a lovely doll becoming the family’s new favourite toy. Unfortunately for me, I was wrong. It’s as terrifying as you’d expect.
Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson and McKenna Grace star in the third instalment of the incredibly successful horror franchise, with the infamous doll from the ‘Conjouring’ universe, which has been scaring us for 6 years, when The Conjouring was first released back in 2013.
The latest addition to the franchise, Annabelle Comes Home, sees Farming and Wilson star as the real-life paranormal expert couple Lorraine and Ed Warren, who lock Annabelle up in their home, full of paranormal artefacts, in an attempt to stop her from causing anymore chaos but Annabelle being Annabelle, awakens the evil spirits in the house…
In the brand new trailer we catch a glimpse at some of the iconic moments in the trilogy, including in the infamous rocking chair as well as a whole new lot of pulse-raising scary moments and without giving too much away, keep watching for the scene in the bed. Check out the brand new trailer below:
Annabelle Comes Home is co-written between James Wan (Aquaman) and Gary Dauberman, with Dauberman also making his directorial debut. Dauberman has had an incredible few years, penning scripts for the original Annabelle film back in 2014, Annabelle: Creation in 2017 as well as writing the script for Stephen King’s IT, with the second instalment of the film also due for release at the end of this year.
Annabelle Comes Home is set for release on June 28th by Warner Bros.
