I know. I know. The headline is insane, but there is a woman that actually believes this, I promise you.
Phillip Schofield seemed to be entertaining her story also, as he told her that if she continued to get around as the way she had been in the spirit world, she would get a “reputation.”
This was after Amethyst Realm appeared on ITV’s This Morning to discuss the fact that she left her finance after he caught her having an affair with a spirit. I bet marriage councillors have never heard that excuse before. Then again, there are some wacky people in this world of ours.
She also believes (get this) that she can fall pregnant by the spirits with whom she shares intimate relationships. She also said that that’s what a phantom pregnancy is. I see.
The woman left the viewers at home totally baffled as she explained that she has had sexual encounters with 15 different ghost lovers.
And a shocked Phillip told her: “I could imagine you’ve got quite a name for yourself in the spirit world.”
Earlier on in the programme, Phillip asked her when it was that she had her first night of paranormal passion.
She said: “It was about 12 years ago now, I was living with my fiancé and he was working away a lot.”
She added: “I started to feel a presence.”
Amethyst also said that one night, she decided to try dressing in some sexy lingerie and hang around in the spare room. It was the spare room in which she had felt the strongest presence, and she thought she might try her luck in there.
She said that she waited in there for quite a while before she managed to pull, and originally feared that she had come on too strong and scared the ghosts off.
But she then claimed that just before she fell asleep, the ghost made an appearance and they had sex.
She also said that since then she’s gone completely off men, and she has had sex with another 14 ghosts.
But Holly asked if she would feel that way forever, and also asked if one day she might have a child.
However, Amethyst has seemingly thought this through, and claims that she can in fact get pregnant by a ghost.
She said: “I’ve done a bit of research into phantom pregnancies.
“There’s a possibility that it is a ghost in you but people don’t know how to carry it to full term.”
She then went on to discuss how her fiancé had left her after catching her in bed with a ghost.
She said: “He says he saw the shape of a man through the window when he pulled up outside.”
Amethyst said that she believed the first ghost with whom she shared a night of spiritual passion was in love with her, and that she was in love with it. Things, however, fizzled out in the end. She was also angry at the ghost for showing its physical form to her fiancé but not her.
You know how jealousy is in relationships.
Holly asked Amethyst if sex with ghosts ever ends in her climaxing, to which she replied: “For me, yes.”
But Holly then said that doctors have suggested that her sexual encounters could be explained by symptoms of sleep paralysis, with some of which being sexual feelings that some people describe having.
But Amethyst said: “I don’t think so because my first ghost used to follow me around the house and lure me in so I was definitely awake.”
Needless to say, viewers were left baffled by the segment.
One said: “Is this woman for real?”
Another wrote: “My favorite part of #ThisMorning is how Philip asks all the stupid questions we’re all thinking while poor holly is left attempting to have a normal interview”
While another suggested: “Good excuse if your hubby catches you screwing another man…”no darling, it’s a ghost!!””
“a phantom pregnancy?! Just stop,” said another.
You might think that this is a weird scenario, but it’s not as weird as you might think. There are a lot of stories out there of people seemingly having relationships with ghosts. Another case is 26-year-old Sian Jameson, who broke up with her long-term boyfriend and decided to move out of North London to Wales because she was reminded of her ex so much.
She moved into a fully furnished 16th century cottage in Aberystwyth and said: “The owner had even left books and paintings. One painting in particular caught my eye – it was above the mantelpiece in the main room and was of a handsome young man and dated 1820.”
She said that at first she enjoyed the solitude, and that as a writer, she was inspired by the countryside setting.
She said: “It was great. No distractions – just me, the trees and the sky. I was paying my rent by doing bits of copyrighting and, because I didn’t want for much in the countryside, I managed OK.
“I enjoyed the peace: after a long relationship, being on my own was quite exhilarating. I started to wonder whether I’d ever want a man in my life again.”
But one night, she experienced something quite different indeed.
She continued: “A few months after I’d moved in, I woke early one morning to find a dark-haired, very good-looking young man lying next to me.
“He was fully clothed – in a loose white shirt, a neck scarf and old-fashioned breeches.
“He had a kind of shimmer to him as if he was behind a fluttering voile curtain. I told myself I was dreaming and rolled away from him.
‘As I faced the wall, I slowly realised I wasn’t asleep and, suddenly I was frozen with fear. I felt a hand on my waist but the touch was strange – light and cool.”
Sian looked at him and realised that she was the man from the painting – she knew he was a ghost.

She said: “We started to make love. He was very gentle and stroked my body tenderly. During the lovemaking, I sensed all kinds of things about him – his name (Robert) and he lived (over 100 years ago).
“We didn’t speak – it was as if he was communicating with me telepathically. His body was soft and light.
“Even when he moved on top of me, pressing down, he felt almost weightless. It was very strange, but the sex was amazing!”
Sian described the session as lasting for about an hour – after which they fell asleep in each other’s arms, but when she awoke the next morning, the ghostly Casanova had disappeared.
Maybe he did the walk of shame back into the afterlife.
Sian added: “I was totally perplexed about what had happened. In fact, I started to wonder whether it had happened at all.
“In the end, I told myself it was just a very vivid dream and put it to the back of my mind.”
However, a few days later, Sian said the ghost returned, and for people who are reading this and thinking that this is just another case of sleep paralysis, the next bit does make you wonder: “He appeared in the morning, we made love again but this time, afterwards, I watched him get up, get dressed and leave the room.
“I was expecting to hear his footsteps on the wooden stairs, but there was no sound. I watched him through the open bedroom door and saw him kind of fade as he approached the top of the stairs.”
She didn’t go back to sleep, and instead got up and followed him, but Robert the ghost was gone.
She also claims that the ghost appeared one more time before vanishing for good.
She told her friends about the experience, but they weren’t inclined to believe her, but she still believes that her encounters with the ghost were real.
Now, Sian is in a relationship with a living man.
She added: “When I first told him about Robert, he thought it was funny. He reckons it was just a dream.
“But I know it wasn’t a dream. It was real. And the sex was as good – if not better – than any other sex I’ve had. Just don’t tell my boyfriend that!”
