You can now buy and bake gin and whiskey flavoured cookie kits thanks to online gift retailer Firebox – it sounds like an amazing twist to your usual dull cookies.
When Santa comes down your chimney, why don’t you make a slight but delicious change to your typical milk and cookies – by adding some whiskey and gin?
Thanks to the online gift retailer Firebox you can now purchase a whiskey or gin cookie kit to make some extra yummy and boozy cookies that will certainly go down well with the family and friends.
Impressively, the brand claim that the cookies only take a minuscule 15 minutes to make, well, that’s nothing really! In 15 minutes you can make up to 12 cookies which can either be infused with gin and cardamon or whiskey – depending on which kit you decide to purchase.
To make the cookies that extra bit fabulous it is recommended you add butter and whatever your favourite gin is, or whiskey if that’s the kit you’re interested in.
The brand promises you will be delighted with oozy and gooey cookies and they are also suitable for vegetarians.
The Firebox website has a description of the gin cookie kit: “What if we told you that in just 15 minutes from now*, YOU could be feasting on your very own batch of warm, fragrant, gooey, crunchy gin-infused cookies?
“So easy to make. So bloody delicious. Our kit takes care of all the boring baking “science” so all you need to do is slap in a knob of butter and slosh in a generous glug of your favourite gin.
“The finished cookies perfectly combine those “oh my gaaad these smell amaaazing, get in my mouth!” primal urges with the effortless classiness (and tastiness) of a G and T. What a concoction.
“And remember, these cookies are just the foundation for you to experiment with – why not grate in a little lemon zest to give them a Tom Collins-y twist? Or switch out some of the gin for a splash of Campari and vermouth for some Negroni vibes. Yum.”
There’s also further detail for the whiskey cookie kit too: “Cooking with wine is so last year, 2019 is all about baking with whisky. And it’s surprisingly easy to sneak that smoky, rich, malty goodness into a batch of cookies – it only takes 15 minutes with this clever kit.
“All you have to do is add butter, one egg yolk, and a generous tablespoon of your favourite single malt to the mixture and before you know it you’ll be tucking into a tray of warm, gooey, boozy cookies. Boom.
“Much easier, tastier, and less messy than pouring a bottle of Four Roses into a bag of stale supermarket cookies.”
Well, they sound absolutely divine. Of course, due to the nature of the product, it is not possible to make a return. However, for £9.99 these cookie kits sound like an absolute bargain.
