Tammy Slaton has wowed fans with a stunning swimsuit photo in which she looks completely unrecognisable.

The reality TV show 1000-lb Sisters follows the weight loss journeys of sisters Tammy and Amy Slaton.

At the beginning of the series, Tammy weighed over 725 pounds (51.8 stone) and couldn’t walk without assistance – as well as relying on an oxygen mask.

But, as the show went on, fans were impressed with her progress and now, she has shown off her drastic weight loss in a new swimsuit snap.

Fans have reacted to the image on social media, with one writing: “Tammy looks so good.”

Another person comments: “Look at you, girl! That is a JOURNEY.”

A third adds: “You look amazing Tammy, I’m so proud of you.”

Someone else pens: “Holy wow! The transformation is incredible! So happy to see how far you have come I may have cried a little.”

A fifth congratulates the reality star, writing: “I know that Tammy must be so proud of herself. She fought the hard fight and made it when so many people wrote her off. Congrats girl!”

Tammy recently opened up to People about how life-changing her weight loss journey has been after losing 440 pounds (31.4 stone) – she is now down to 285 pounds (20.6 stone).

“One of the big changes that I have gone through this past year is probably small to most people,” she told the outlet.

“But for me it was huge. Just being able to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen. I don’t even sleep with it at night anymore.

“Then it was being able to fit in a regular vehicle, front seat, and then the belt buckle, and not have to use an extender now. So I mean, just what seems minor to some people is giant for me.”

Tammy underwent gastric band surgery in 2022, which involves placing a silicone band called the Lap-Band around your stomach that will reduce your stomach capacity and slow the passage of food through your stomach, as per Cleveland Clinic.

As she continues transforming her life, Tammy has revealed during a TikTok Q&A that she eventually wants to learn how to drive – but acknowledges that it will take her time.

“I do want to learn eventually,” she said. “But right now anxiety’s just a little too much. A lot going on. But baby steps.”

While she has seen a huge positive change in her life, Tammy was met with a heartbreaking setback last summer when her husband Caleb Willingham died.

The pair met while attending a rehabilitation facility in Ohio, where they both received treatment for obesity.

They married in November 2022, but their romance was short-lived and they split up just a few months later.

It’s been revealed that Willingham’s cause of death was due to natural causes.

Tammy continues to post on social media to share her progress – as well as uploading inspiring messages to help those on a similar journey.

And now fans are in awe of the reality star as she shows off her transformation with a picture of her wearing a swimsuit.

Posing next to her friend Haley Michelle – who often posts pictures of her and Slaton hanging out together – she is sat in a swimming pool in a blue, mermaid-printed suit.

Michelle uploaded the photo to her Instagram, with the caption: “Proud of you #tammyslatonweightloss.”
