A doctor on TikTok has shared a set of 12 questions he uses to evaluate patients for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
ADHD is a condition that affects people’s behaviour and often, people with ADHD can appear restless or have trouble concentrating.
According to the NHS website, symptoms tend to be spotted at an early age, such as when they start school.
Cases are typically diagnosed in children under 12 years old, however, it’s sometimes diagnosed later on.

The condition’s symptoms are categorised into inattentiveness and hyperactivity/impulsiveness.
Its exact cause remains unknown, however, research has suggested that it runs in families.
Managing ADHD involves providing appropriate educational support for children and offering guidance to parents and affected individuals.
Several celebrities, including Olympian Simone Biles and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, have spoken publicly about their experiences with ADHD.
Dr Ali Ajaz, a health professional who shares informative videos on TikTok, has gone viral with a clip presenting 12 questions he utilises to assess adults for ADHD.
He emphasises that resonating with these questions doesn’t automatically indicate ADHD but suggests seeking a professional opinion.

The questions Dr Ajaz asks are as follows:
- Do you struggle to focus on everyday tasks?
- Do you often zone out or lose track of time?
- Do you make careless mistakes at work or with assignments?
- Do you find it difficult to initiate tasks and often procrastinate?
- Do you have trouble completing one task at a time?
- Do you struggle with organisation?
- Are you embarrassed by the untidiness of your bedroom, home, or workspace?
- Do you frequently misplace essential items like your phone, keys, or wallet?
- Is it challenging for you to relax and unwind?
- Do you experience difficulty sleeping because your mind remains active?
- Do you find it hard to wait your turn in queues or conversations?
- Do you struggle to listen when someone speaks to you directly?

Dr Ajaz emphasises that these questions are part of a more comprehensive assessment process, often involving input from individuals close to the person who suspects they have ADHD, such as family, friends, and partners.
