In one of the latest episodes of sMothered, aired on TLC, a mum and daughter duo have admitted that they have an unusual relationship – they love to lick each other all over in the mornings to wake each other up.
Although it’s lovely to see a mother and daughter who share an unbreakable bond and are able to tell each other anything, there are some mother and daughter relationships that have taken it just that little bit too far.
From showering together to dressing in identical clothes every day, TLC’s popular show examines these super close relationships and all the bizarreness that comes with them.
In this particular episode of sMothered, Marcia 68, and her 21-year-old daughter, Alena, say that they are definitely each other’s best friend and in the morning, they enjoy a very unusual routine.
Each and every morning, Marcia enjoys waking up her daughter with puppy-like antics – meaning she licks her daughter’s face like a madwoman.
The mum explained: “She kept pestering me for a puppy and I couldn’t get her a puppy, so I turned into the doggy. Alena tastes pretty good and all sweet, I just want to eat her all up.”
Alena, who was adopted by Marcia as a toddler, believes that this routine they share together has created a special bond.
She said: “I love it when my mamma licks me, it kind of makes me feel closer to her because we’re doing something funny and out of the ordinary. It’s a thing we do every single day.”
Maddeningly, this isn’t where the weirdness ends with these two. Once Alena finally gets out of bed, she playfully chases her mum around the house.
Marcia said: “When Alena was very little she didn’t have much stamina, so I would say ‘you can’t get me, you can’t get me’.”
As Alena suffers from an enzyme deficiency, Marcia thought that the activity would be a great way for her daughter to increase her stamina and encourage growth whilst she was a child. Yet somehow, now her little girl is all grown up, the routine has become a part of their regular day to day doings.
Marcia added: “It was really a good thing to help her grow and it just continued.”
Once Alena manages to catch up with her mum, she says it’s her turn to play the role as puppy.
She said: “When I catch my mamma I do all my kissy-poos and I kiss her all up. She’s very kissable.”
“It’s getting a little tricky as she’s getting older, but still do all the same antics and we still play the same games and we have fun.”
