A McDonald’s worker has been filmed “close to tears”, as they were forced to deal with the handling of a large number of delivery orders on their own.
On Friday night, an “overwhelmed” McDonald’s worker at an Ealing branch was recorded working on their own while handling a large number of orders. While outside, there were around 15 drivers waiting to collect their fast-food meals.
The person who recorded the footage panned to the inside of the McDonald’s branch, where a huge pile of orders were compiled on the table.
In the clip, the person can be heard saying: “Look at this, no staff. A multibillion-dollar company, can’t afford one person just to stand here.”
On Saturday, the video was uploaded and captioned: “Absolutely disgusting from @McDonaldsUK #Ealing yesterday.
“About 15 drivers outside waiting to pick up their #UberEats orders, and they had one woman alone running back and forth between the kitchen and handing out the orders.
“She was so overwhelmed she was close to tears.”
In a follow-up tweet, they continued: “It got to a point where she was frozen to the spot not knowing what to do.
“Shameful display of management from a billion dollar company – can’t afford to pay £9 an hour for at least one more person to help her.”

Due to the third lockdown, McDonald’s restaurants are currently only open for delivery and drive-thru.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “The video in question shows orders waiting to be picked up by delivery drivers, and we are working with our delivery partners to ensure we eradicate delays in collection wherever possible.
“Other team members were of course present and supporting each other as usual.”
