Actress Chloë Grace Moretz Has Come Out
Chloë Grace Moretz has come out in a moving social media post.
Moretz, 27, began acting as a child with early roles in the horror film The Amityville Horror and the hit drama series Desperate Housewives.
Her breakout role came in 2010 with her performance as Hit-Girl in the superhero movie Kick-A**.
Now, Moretz has a thriving career in Hollywood, having gone on to star in multiple blockbuster hits.
With a huge fanbase behind her and the 2024 presidential election approaching, the actress has decided to open up about her s**uality.
Unlike many celebrities, Moretz has lived a relatively normal life out of the spotlight. However, she previously had a high-profile relationship with Brooklyn Beckham.
The actress first became linked to Beckham in 2014 and in an interview with Teen Vogue said: “What I find really interesting about Brooklyn – and what I really love about the kid – is that he is passionate about what he wants, which is to be a professional soccer player. And I enjoy someone who is on my level with the seriousness kind of thing.”
But later that year, she dodged a question about their relationship status during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Moretz simply said: “He’s a very good guy and he’s a good person, I enjoy hanging out with him.”
When host Andy Cohen asked if she didn’t want to put a label on it, she coyly said: “Maybe…”
Two years later, Moretz appeared back on Watch What Happens Live and finally confirmed she was dating Beckham.
She said: “We’re in a relationship, it’s fine, it’s no biggie. The more I don’t make it serious the more people don’t care so yes we’re in a relationship.”
Until 2018, the pair appeared to have an on/off relationship.
Beckham has been married to actress Nicola Peltz since 2022. Meanwhile, Moretz has been romantically linked to model Kate Harrison for over five years.
The two often share photos of themselves on Instagram and in June 2023, the Greta star uploaded a snap of them at a march for gay women in New York City.
Moretz touched upon her s**ual orientation when she portrayed a gay teenager sent against her will to a conversion therapy camp in the 2018 drama The Miseducation of Cameron Post.
The actress spoke to Deadline while promoting the film and shared that she has been an ‘activist’ for the LGBTQIA+ community since being ‘a little girl.’
She also became irritated when a reporter for The Independent informed her she was name-checked into an article about straight actors portraying characters.
“Oh really?” Moretz asked, laughing nervously. “Well, I think what’s important is don’t assume anyone’s s**uality. I mean, across the board… don’t assume.”
She continued: “I think it comes down to the line that’s in the movie. (Moretz’s character) says, ‘I don’t see myself as a homos**ual, I don’t see myself as anything.’ These are all societal pressures that we’re being labeled as.
“We’re all human, trying to be with the people that we fall in love with and be the best person that we can be. But don’t assume people’s s**ualities. And don’t project your own issues onto them. Why don’t we let people be who they wanna be?”
Now, the actress has described herself a ‘gay woman’ in a social media post about the importance of voting in the 2024 presidential election.
Moretz penned on Instagram: “I voted early and I voted for Kamala Harris.
“There is so much on the line this election. I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor. Kamala Harris will protect that for us.
“I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman. We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve.
“SO… Are you voting early? Let’s get a plan together to get to your polling place with your friends!”

As Moretz has disabled comments on the post, fans have taken to X (formerly Twitter) and congratulated the star on opening up.
“I love her for this,” one person pens.
Another adds: “It’s nice she’s finally established herself as a gay woman. She and Kate have been together for years and it’s clear she’s in love with her.”
“I can’t stop smiling about this,” enthuses a third. “I’m sooo happy!!! Good for her.”
