The reason Adele can’t be ‘cancelled’ by record bosses following her BRITs speech has been revealed.
According to the MailOnline, the star’s label may be unhappy that she took a swipe at the gender-neutral Artist of the Year award, but there’s not much they can do about it due to the fact she’s the world’s top-selling artist.
PR guru and crisis management expert Mark Borkowski has claimed that some fans may actually like the fact she is being ‘true to her brand’.
Find out why people think Adele is engaged in the clip below…
He told the publication: “There is a mass of posturing in the corporate world of pop music. Just like a slew of multi-national conglomerates rushing to make the right noise that most people see as virtue signalling.
“It was pleasing to see Adele channelling authenticity – true to her brand, Adele is a giant personality. She is a leading light proving you don’t have to lose your much-loved status by reflecting what you believe in.”
Borkowski went on to say that the ‘Easy On Me’ singer is a ‘national treasure,’ and could eventually be ‘sucked into a battle that will prove exhausting’.

When Adele accepted the award, she referenced the gender-neutral change at the event and said that although she ‘understands’ why it’s been altered, she ‘loves being a woman’.
She said: “I really wasn’t expecting this one at all. I want to say a massive congratulations to Little Sims. Dave, Ed, Sam, I’m so proud to be in your company.
“I love being an artist. I can’t believe it’s my job. England, the UK, we have so many incredible young artists coming up.
“I understand why this has changed, but I really love being a woman and a female artist. I’m really proud of us.”
