Adele fans have slammed the singer, who said she is part of a ‘dying breed’ of artists, for cancelling her Las Vegas performance with just 24 hours notice because it ‘isn’t ready’ due to delays caused by Covid.
The 33-year-old was meant to start her residency at Caesar’s Palace tonight, after banning unvaccinated fans from attending.
Supporters had travelled from all over the world to see her, with some paying ‘up to $30,000 for tickets’ on resale sites.

Several took to Twitter to air their frustration at the 11th-hour cancellation. One wrote: “Super bummed that Adele has postponed all of her shows in Las Vegas.
“I’ve already spent $1200 between airfare, hotel, and the concert tickets. Not to mention vacation time from work.”
Another added: “People travelling halfway around the world, spending thousands and you’re chucking on the crocodile tears.”
A third chimed in, saying: “Christmas gift gone pear-shaped as my wife and daughter are on the way to meet me in Vegas and unfortunately Adele has had to cancel.”
A fourth complained: “You have people who travelled to Vegas for your show! They’ve spent thousands of dollars to come to see you and this is how you treat them?
“This is absolutely unacceptable to do to people who spend their hard-earned money to see you!”

The star announced the news in an emotional Instagram video, stating: “Listen, I’m so sorry but my show ain’t ready.
“We’ve tried everything that we can to put it together in time, and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.
“Half my crew and half my team are down with Covid, and it’s been impossible to finish the show.”
She continued: “I can’t give you what I have right now, and I’m gutted.
“I’m sorry this is so last minute. We’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out, and we’ve run out of time.
“I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed.”
