Adele has claimed she was ‘disappointed’ by women’s reaction to her dramatic weight loss.
In a chat with Vogue magazine, the Grammy winner admitted her feelings were ‘hurt’ by the ‘brutal conversations’ she read about herself after losing 100 pounds.
She said: “I understand why some women especially were hurt. Visually I represented a lot of women. But I’m still the same person.

“And the worst part of the whole thing was that the most brutal conversations were being had by other women about my body.
“I was very f***ing disappointed with that. That hurt my feelings.”
Images of the now 33-year-old went viral in 2019 when she debuted her slimmer figure in an Instagram post.
One person commented at the time: “She’s not Adele, she looks like Sarah Paulson. One thing is to lose weight and another to completely change your face.”
Another added: “Please become a little fat.”
“I prefer the old Adele. You were a natural English girl, but now you’re only [a] product,” a third said.

The ‘Someone Like You’ singer explained: “It became my time. I realised that when I was working out, I didn’t have any anxiety.
“It was never about losing weight.”
She added: “I thought, If I can make my body physically strong, and I can feel that and see that, then maybe one day I can make my emotions and my mind physically strong.”
