Discount supermarket Aldi has given pigs in blankets an Easter makeover by selling them in packs which means they’re perfect to snack on during the lockdown!
Aldi has decided to gift pigs in blankets lovers to a much-needed treat during the coronavirus crisis by selling pigs in blankets in a snack version.
Taking a twist on a Christmas staple, the humble pigs in blankets have had a springtime makeover which means they are no longer just reserved for the winter.
Infused with sage and black pepper, the seasoned pork sausage is hand wrapped in smoked streaky bacon and can be enjoyed either hot or cold.
You can buy the pigs in blankets in packs of 12 for the bargain price of £1.49 and thankfully, there’s no effort required as they’re already cooked and ready to eat.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “Perfect as an addition to a garden picnic or lunch, these bite-size wonders are perfect for the whole family.”
Although we may not be able to go out to the park for an idyllic picnic, it’s always a lovely idea to set up a blanket in the back garden and have the pigs in blankets alongside sandwiches and some crisps. Alternatively, they make a perfect snack before an Easter Sunday dinner of lamb.
Available in all UK stores, the meaty snack is sure to be swept off shelves so you’ll need to act fast.
