“I mean, honest to God, if I felt that I was responsible, I might have killed myself if I thought I was responsible. And I don’t say that lightly.”
The 63-year-old added that he and Hutchins ‘had something profound in common,’ which was that they ‘both assumed the gun was empty’.
Baldwin also claimed that he didn’t pull the trigger, saying: “I think back, I think, ‘What could I have done?’
“The trigger wasn’t pulled, I didn’t pull the trigger. I would never point a gun at anyone and point a trigger at them, never.
“Someone put a live bullet in the gun – a bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property.”
