Amanda Bynes has left hospital and a sad health update has since been shared.
The Easy A actress, 37, has starred in hit films such as Hairspray and Robots – while also appearing in The Amanda Show.
But Bynes shocked the world in 2010 when she revealed that she would be quitting acting – despite appearing to have a promising future ahead.
At the time, the She’s the Man star tweeted: “Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem. If I don’t love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it.
“I know 24 is a young age to retire, but you heard it here first.”
Following this announcement, Bynes faced a series of legal issues.

The child star was arrested for a DUI in 2012 after she clipped a sheriff’s cruiser with her black BMW.
In the same year, she was charged with two hit-and-runs – with the first occurring just days after her DUI arrest.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Bynes was convicted of reckless driving for the first incident.
She was sentenced to three years of probation and three months of alcohol education classes.
Bynes had another run-in with the law when she allegedly threw a bong out of her Times Square apartment – cops reportedly responded to calls that the star had been smoking pot in the lobby.
The case was eventually dismissed after she agreed to undergo regular psychiatric treatment.
For the crime, Bynes was charged with reckless endangerment and marijuana possession.

In 2014, the What a Girl Wants star was booked again for a second DUI charge after it was determined by police that ‘she was under the influence of a controlled substance’.
Around the time of her legal drama, Bynes was also going viral on Twitter with a series of bizarre rants.
Us Weekly reports that the star asked POTUS to ‘fire the cop’ who arrested her back in 2012.
Allegedly, she also called the then-President of the United States and his wife, Michelle Obama, ‘ugly’.
But most shockingly of all, Bynes reportedly asked rapper Drake to ‘murder’ her v**ina.
Following this unusual behaviour, Bynes’ mother, Lynn, was granted a temporary conservatorship over her daughter – which was made permanent in October 2014.
According to a legal petition obtained by People, the judge ruled that the star ‘poses a substantial risk to herself, to others, and to property’.
Amid this, Bynes took a break from social media and appeared to be on the mend.
She enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in 2014 and began pursuing her interest in fashion.
While she reportedly had a string of mental health issues during this time, the actress eventually graduated in June 2019.
Things continued to be on the up for Bynes, as by 2020 it was announced that she was engaged to her ‘lover’, who was eventually identified as Paul Michael.
In March 2022, a judge then ruled that the actress’ eight-year conservatorship should be terminated.
But later that year, it was reported that Bynes had ended her engagement with Michael – although they remained in a relationship.

Months later, it appeared that their relationship had come to an end for good – although they had been spotted running errands together.
Bynes then announced in October 2022 that she would be pursuing a career in cosmetology.
Showing off her salon-like class in an Instagram post, she said: “In cosmetology college to become a manicurist!”
Despite appearing to have a fresh new start, it was reported in early 2023 that Bynes had been placed on psychiatric hold in Los Angeles after she was reportedly discovered wandering the streets naked.
Michael claimed to Page Six that this was due to the star being ‘off her meds’.
Following Bynes’ departure from the mental health facility, a health update has been shared by sources close to the star.
An insider tells TMZ that the actress is living solo in her own place and that she doesn’t have a lot of people around her.
It is claimed that she lives a ‘sad, isolated life’.
After hearing of Bynes’ recent troubles, fans have taken to social media and shared kind words of support.
One person writes: “Glad you OK. Get well soon.”
“We [have] all got your back,” adds a second.
Someone else pens: “Love you girl!! Stay strong!”
A fourth writes: “Keep your head up chick I too deal with the same thing, you got this.”
“Prayers for Amanda Bynes.. .we should be sending love her way even if it’s just in how we plan to help a new generation of young artists,” another adds.
