Amber Heard has reportedly been hit with a major blow when it comes to her role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
According to reports, film journalist Grace Randolph has claimed that the 36-year-old appears in the upcoming DC film as Atlantean princess Mera for just ’10 minutes’.
She tweeted: “I hear Amber Heard has less than 10 [minutes] of screentime in Aquaman 2.”

It’s been speculated that the alleged shortened screen time comes as a result of the petition calling for her to be ‘axed’ from the franchise.
However, it hasn’t been made clear whether Heard was always intended to have a reduced role or if it’s due to Johnny Depp’s claims in his defamation trial against her.
The petition which calls for Heard’s ‘axing’ from the role was shared on Change.org and at the time of writing, has amassed almost 3million signatures.
Its page description reads: “Amber Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser by Johnny Depp. In his $50million lawsuit, Johnny Depp describes many incidents of domestic abuse that he suffered at the hands of his (then) wife.
“Since Heard’s divorce from Johnny Depp, she has systematically crusaded to ruin Depp in Hollywood, repeating multiple accounts of fake incidents in which she had actually abused Johnny Depp, but lied and created false accounts of him being the abuser.”
After claiming that Heard is guilty of several alleged domestic violence incidents, it continues: “As Amber Heard is a known and proven domestic abuser, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from its Aquaman 2 film project.
“They must not ignore the suffering of Heard’s victims, and must not glamourise a domestic abuser.
“Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognised, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry.
“Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2.”
