Amber Heard has responded to Aquaman 2 rumours following the verdict in Johnny Depp’s defamation case against her.
A representative for the actress has reportedly told E! News that the recasting claims about the upcoming sequel are ‘insane’.
They apparently told the news outlet: “The rumour mill continues as it has from day one – inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane.”

The statement was in response to a comment on the website Just Jared, which claimed an ‘anonymous insider’ confirmed that the role had been recast.
The alleged ‘insider’ reportedly claimed: “Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard’s role after screen testing the movie. They are going to be doing reshoots with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman.”
An update has since been posted to the article, which supposedly reads: “Sources close to the Aquaman production have shot us an update, saying, ‘Amber has not been completely cut from the film. She still has a small role’.
“Our other sources still say Amber will be recast but we’ll update our readers as more information rolls in.”

The rumours come as the 36-year-old has claimed that she ‘understands’ why the jury sided with her ex-husband during the high-profile case.
The actress broke her silence in a TV interview with NBC, during which she told host Savannah Guthrie: “I don’t blame them [the jury].
“I actually understand. He’s a beloved character and people feel they know him. He’s a fantastic actor.”
She also spoke of her ‘regret’ during their marriage, saying: “I did do and say horrible, regrettable things throughout my relationship.
“I behaved in a horrible, almost unrecognisable to myself ways.
“I will always continue to feel like I was a part of this like I was the other half of this relationship because I was.
“And it was ugly, and it could be very beautiful, it was very, very toxic. We were awful to each other. You know, I made a lot of a lot of mistakes. A lot of mistakes. But I’ve always told the truth.”
