Anne Heche’s ex-husband, Coleman Laffoon, has paid tribute to the 53-year-old on his Instagram.

The actress died on August 12 after being in a car crash in California that left her in a coma.

Responding to the tragic news, Laffoon said: “In the wake of Anne’s passing, I just wanted to say a few things: One, I love her and I miss her, and I’m always going to.”

Referencing the pair’s son, Homer Laffoon, the real-estate agent continued: “Homer is okay. He’s grieving of course, and it’s rough, it’s really rough, as probably anybody can imagine.

“But he’s surrounded by family and he’s going to be okay.”

Elsewhere in the video, Laffoon added:  “It’s hard for me, it’s hard for me, it’s hard for my family, it’s really hard for Homer, but we’ve got each other and we have a lot of support and we’re going to be okay.

“She came in hot and she had a lot to say and she was brave and fearless, loved really hard and was never afraid to let us know what she thinks and what she believed in.

“It was all about love, so goodbye, Anne. Love you, thank you for the good times, there were so many. And in the meantime, I got our son, and he will be fine.”

Heche and Laffoon married in 2001 after meeting the year before when the agent was working as a cameraman for Ellen DeGeneres. The pair divorced in 2009.

Despite Heche being pronounced legally dead on August 12, her life support machine was kept on as her organs were being donated.

Although no details have been revealed regarding which ones were taken, doctors have confirmed the surgery was successful.
