Ant McPartlin reportedly suffered a head injury and needed ‘medical attention’ while filming Britain’s Got Talent, it has been revealed.

The star was apparently left with a cut on his face after he attempted to ‘crack a coconut’ with his forehead.

McPartlin came up with the idea to try cracking it with several different parts of his body when an act appeared with loads of the items on stage.

In the footage, he first tried using his fist to punch it. After grimacing in pain, he said: “Do not punch coconuts kids, it really hurts. I think I nearly broke my knuckle.”

After this, he tried to break it on his head, before saying to someone off-camera: “Why did you say forehead? Because I was bound to try…”

His co-host, Declan Donnelly, then told him: “You’ve cut your head on a coconut. How irresponsible are you?”

Later on in the footage, a medic could be seen wrapping the star’s head in a bandage, which appeared to be a bit of an overreaction to the tiny cut.

He then teases the presenter saying the dressing will ‘need to be changed every day for three weeks’.

This year, Britain’s Got Talent has continued to make headlines with its many ‘scandals’.

One contestant from this series had to defend her place on the programme as she was awarded the Golden Buzzer despite the fact she is already a professional singer.

Loren Allred impressed the judges with her rendition of the song ‘Never Enough’ from The Greatest Showman, but it was later revealed her voice is in fact on the movie’s soundtrack even though she doesn’t appear onscreen.

Speaking out about her audition, Allred said: “The opportunity to sing ‘Never Enough’ evolved from being a session singer in the choir, and even though the song was a big success, people still think that the actress sang it.

“I have never gotten the opportunity to tell my story. That’s never happened for me. I am an unsigned, independent artist still trying to make a name for myself.”
