‘Aquaman’ Fans Launch Petition For Amber Heard To Be ‘Replaced By Blake Lively’

Aquaman fans have launched a petition for Amber Heard to be ‘replaced by Blake Lively’. 

A person has taken to Change.org and set up the appeal, which they have addressed to Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Explaining why they believe Lively should take over the part, they wrote: “After the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard and all the negative ‘energy’ around the latest, and since Blake Lively is a much [more] likeable actress and human being.”

So far, it has amassed nearly 5,000 signatures, and those who are particularly keen on the petition have even made fan art of Ryan Reynold’s wife in the part.

During Amber Heard’s trial against Johnny Depp, she has opened up about her role in Aquaman.

She testified during the high-profile case that she had to ‘fight really hard’ to keep her part in the franchise, claiming: “I had to fight really hard to keep my career after I got my [restraining order against Depp].

“I lost opportunities. I got dropped from jobs and campaigns. I fought to keep my job and the biggest movie opportunity I had to date [with] Justice League with the option to [star in] Aquaman. I had to fight really hard to stay in Justice League because that was the time of the divorce.”

Heard also claimed that she was given ‘new versions’ of her script for the role after filing for a restraining order against her ex-husband.

She alleged: “I was given a script and then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it, that depicted my character and another character, without giving any spoiler aways, two characters fighting with one another, and they basically took a bunch out of my role.

“They just removed a bunch out.”
