Avatar: The Way Of Water has just dropped its first full trailer and it looks amazing.

The much-anticipated sequel to the 2009 box-office hit, which is the highest-grossing movie of all time, already released a teaser trailer earlier in the year.

The footage gave a glimpse of Pandora, the breathtaking sci-fi world that director James Cameron created.

Now that the full trailer has been released, the excitement level has risen as fans get their first proper look at returning characters, new faces, and mouthwatering special effects.

“However, they must leave their home and explore the regions of Pandora. When an ancient threat resurfaces, Jake must fight a difficult war against the humans.”

On social media, fans have been losing their minds at the new footage.

One person asked: “How does this movie keep looking better and better?”

“I’m f***ing stoked. This looks so good,” expressed a second fan.

Fans won’t have too long to revisit Pandora as the film will release in cinemas exclusively on December 16.

As the release date edges closer and closer, more details about Avatar: The Way Of Water have been unveiled.

The length has been confirmed and it sounds like viewers best make sure they go the toilet before the movie starts because it’s going to be a long one.

Avatar: The Way Of Water’s runtime will be around three hours and 10 minutes, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

This will make it almost half an hour longer than the first one.

Avatar: The Way Of Water will be the first of four sequels, with Avatar 5 set to come out in December 2028, as long as there are no delays.

The third instalment, which is rumoured to be called Avatar: The Seed Bearer, is expected to come out in 2023, so fans won’t have to wait too long for the next chapter in the story.

Jon Landau, the producer of the films, recently revealed that he has already shot the first act of Avatar 4.

Speaking to Variety, he said:  “We’ve completed most of the first act of ‘Avatar 4’ and there were logistical reasons why we needed to do that.

“We’ve designed most of the whole movie for ‘Avatar 4’ but we haven’t actually filmed all of it – just the first act.”
