Ben Shephard Mortified After Accidental Susanna Reid ‘Nipple’ Comment Live On ‘Good Morning Britain’

Ben Shepherd was left feeling mortified on Good Morning Britain today when he accidentally blurted out an inappropriate comment about Susanna Reid’s dress.

The 46-year-old, who has taken over from Piers Morgan, accidentally said the word ‘nipples’ instead of ‘nostrils,’ causing the rest of the hosts to break out into hysterics.

It all started when the production team projected a montage of his face onto Reid’s green dress.

Shepherd said it looked like she was wearing ‘a Ben blanket,’ before making the slip-up.

He added: “My nipples are…’ before abruptly stopping himself from making any further comment.

Confused, he asked himself: “My nipples?”

Susanna then said: “Did your inner thoughts come out on national television to millions Ben Shephard?”

Wiping at his eyes, the 46-year-old insisted that he hadn’t meant to say nipples and begged Reid not to ‘throw him under the bus’.

The presenter then explained that he had been meaning to say nostrils and the word had simply slipped out, adding: “They’re very easily confused.”

But Susanna was having none of it and implied it had been what he was really thinking about.

Viewers took to Twitter to poke fun at the hilarious moment, with one writing: “OMG … Ben Shephard nipples !!! To be fair it’s easily done, I’ve done it myself.”
