Bob Saget’s family has reportedly attempted to ‘block the official release of the comedian’s death investigation records’ after a doctor claimed that his head injury was ‘so severe it looked like he has been hit with a baseball bat‘.

According to ABC News, his loved ones, including wife Kelly Rizzo, has stated that they would ‘suffer irreparable harm’ if further information was made public.

Official court documents reportedly state: “Plaintiffs will suffer irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish, and emotional distress if defendants release the records in response to public records requests or otherwise disseminate the records for any other reason or purpose.”

Apparently, they have also argued that there’s ‘no legitimate public interest’ in making the records public.

It’s believed that Saget’s family will potentially sue the Orange County Sheriff and the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The star’s tragic passing was announced on February 9 and his devastated family released a statement to E! News, which read: “The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma.

“They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

It continued: “Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us.

“As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”
