A bride is being slammed online after asking her guests to ‘pay per slice of wedding cake’.

After attending the special day, the guest supposedly received a WhatsApp message from the couple in which they claimed to have watched the person on CCTV and noticed that they took two slices of the cake, instead of one.

In screenshots shared to Reddit, the bride apparently said: “Hey, so we were looking at the CCTV and saw that you had two pieces of the wedding cake.

“We announced that each guest must pay per slice and noticed that you only paid for the one

“Can you please send the £3.66 asap.”

Alongside the screenshot, the guest added: “I paid for the first slice after it was announced on the day we’d be helping to pay for their cake!!

“Apparently didn’t count for the second.”

The post has since accumulated hundreds of comments, with many dubbing the woman ‘petty’ for asking for £3.66 back.

One Reddit user wrote: “3.66 is really cheap to pay to be rid of a ‘friend’ like this.”

In agreement, a second said: “I am here for this level of petty.”

“The little bride and little groom on the cake should have to attend very small claims court,” a third person joked.

A fourth joined in, commenting: “I’d reply with ‘Consider my gift as payment and in that case you owe me the difference… So please send your payment of (whatever amount) immediately’.”

“It’s incredibly cheeky to ask guests to pay for the cake, let alone review footage and then bill guests after the fact for £3.66!” a fifth remarked. “How are they not embarrassed?”
