Brooklyn Beckham has confirmed he has taken Nicola Peltz’s surname as his middle name following their lavish wedding.

The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham has changed his Instagram name to @brooklynpeltzbeckham after marrying the 27-year-old daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz.

A source reportedly told The Sun that the aspiring chef, 23, decided to make the unconventional change to show ‘commitment’ to his new wife.

They apparently told the publication: “Brooklyn is head over heels for Nicola – it’s a huge sign of his commitment to her and his love for her.”

Beckham proposed to Peltz back in November 2020 and the couple originally planned to tie the knot last year. However, due to Covid restrictions, they had to push it back.

The Daily Mail reports that the pair signed a pre-nuptial agreement before their special day.

Beckham’s parents reportedly have an estimated fortune of around £380million, while Peltz’ dad is apparently worth a whopping £1.3billion.

It’s believed Beckham and Peltz made the decision in order to protect their ‘individual, pre-marital separate property’.

In a chat with Distractify, Adam Citron of Davidoff Hutcher & Citron at Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP said that prenups are ‘extremely common’ for such wealthy families.

He told the news outlet: “Most ultra-wealthy people have lawyers with whom they regularly work, and given the amount of money at stake, [they] are likely to advise their clients to get prenuptial agreements as a matter of course.”

He added: “Presumably, the prenuptial agreement has gone to great lengths to protect their individual, pre-marital separate property.”
