Brooklyn Beckham Wedding: Social Media Users Annoyed About Nuptials

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding has annoyed the internet.

According to reports, the young couple’s wedding took place in Miami over the weekend and is believed to have cost a whopping £3million, despite being held at Peltz’s dad’s £103million estate.

After hearing how much it cost, social media users have dubbed the nuptials ‘grotesque’ amid the current cost of living crisis.

Taking to Twitter, one remarked: “Something grotesque about this wedding. Brooklyn has no job. Barely 20 years old. Wasting all this money.”

“Weddings are lovely things but I do feel the $3m cost of Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding is in poor taste in these times of hardship for many,” another added. “It would have been a wonderful gesture to have a smaller wedding and donate the money to charity instead.”

Reacting to the coverage of the big day, which was reportedly attended by 800 people, a third fumed: “Man I need to turn the TV off during the day. I wish Brooklyn Beckham all the best, but I don’t need to know the cost of the wedding and the price tag of the guest’s outfits.

“I’m trying to prepare for my gas bill, rent, car insurance, road tax, raising a baby etc!”

“Yes, good luck to Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz for a happy life together,” a fourth wrote. “But the costs involved in this dream celebrity wedding just don’t sit right with me. War in Europe, cost of living crisis, and ongoing pandemic is the sobering backdrop.”

Reportedly, Beckham and Peltz have signed a pre-nuptial agreement which apparently will protect each other’s ‘individual, pre-marital separate property’.
