Caitlyn Jenner has claimed OJ Simpson told his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson he would ‘kill’ her and ‘get away with it’.

The 72-year-old, who was married to Kris Jenner, one of Brown’s closest friends and the ex-wife of Robert Kardashian Senior, who served as one of the former NFL star’s defence attorneys, is currently starring on Big Brother VIP in Australia.

Opening up to the rest of the housemates about the murders, she said: “Obviously he did it, and he got away with it, and at one point he even told Nicole, ‘I’ll kill you and get away with it ’cause I’m OJ Simpson.”

When asked if it was a ‘pretty hard time’ for the family, Jenner replied: “It was an extraordinarily difficult time.

”Nicole was Kris’ best friend. Had been for a long time.”

“I was at Nicole’s house two days before the murder.”

She continued: “We were at the courthouse. We’re watching what’s going on in the other room, and even after the not guilty verdict, the first thing Kris turns around to me and goes, ‘We should have listened to Nicole. She was right, right from the beginning’.”

Simpson was acquitted of the double-murders following a highly-publicised trial in 1995.

However, he was deemed liable for the deaths in a civil case brought by the two victims’ families in 1997.

Jenner’s step-daughter, Kim Kardashian, caused outrage recently when she made a joke about the tragic incident on Saturday Night Live.

During her opening monologue, the mum-of-four said: “You know, I’m thinking of following in my father’s footsteps.

“Now, you know, my father was and still is such an influence and inspiration to me. And I credit him with really opening up my eyes to racial injustice.

“It’s because of him that I met my first black person… Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was?”

She added: “I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first black person you met, but OJ does leave a mark – or several. Or none at all. I still don’t know.”
