Adult Star Apollo Moon Has Died Aged 26
Apollo Moon, a trailblazing transgender adult performer, passed away at the age of 26.
The star is leaving behind a legacy of resilience and community impact.
Known offscreen as Forest Harader, Moon died in Los Angeles after being hospitalized and placed on life support on November 27.
His death was confirmed by his family, who created a Meal Train account to seek support after his sudden hospitalization.
The page’s description recounted the heartbreaking news, stating: “On November 27, the Harader family received the unexpected and devastating news that their son/brother Forest was hospitalized in the ICU on life support.”
The fundraiser, which raised over $16,000, aimed to assist his parents, who took an extended leave from work to be by his side, as well as his sister Risa during this challenging time.
The family later updated supporters about his condition, revealing that he was pronounced brain dead.
In their statement, they shared their devastation and announced that Moon had chosen to be an organ donor.
They expressed their gratitude to everyone who had supported them and detailed plans for an honor walk to celebrate his life.
“We appreciate all of your love and help during this difficult time. Your donations will help us with his celebration of life,” they wrote.
Moon’s passing has sparked a wave of tributes from friends, colleagues, and fans, highlighting his significant role in the transgender and adult entertainment communities, Them reports.
Fellow performer Gwen Adora expressed her sorrow on social media, calling him ‘a kind and beautiful force in this hard world and industry.’
Another trans adult-content creator, Cher Mii, reflected on their friendship, saying: “I love this man dearly. Words do little justice in properly conveying the depth of this loss.”
Moon was celebrated as a trailblazer and advocate for trans visibility in the s*x work industry, where people of color often face additional barriers.
His openness about his experiences and challenges made him an inspiration to many.
Friends recalled his love for nature, camping, and hiking, as well as his unwavering positivity and dedication to the transgender community.
Just days before his death, he posted on social media: “Being trans has brought me so much joy, and there was nothing in this world that made me happier than sharing that experience with my community. I wish I could hug every trans person in the world right now and tell them I love them.”
In October, Moon announced his decision to leave the adult industry due to its impact on his mental health.
Reflecting on his journey, he wrote: “When I started my career in 2020, I was excited and loved it. Over the years, it took a toll on my mental health. My financial and mental health became reliant on how others view and put worth on my body. I love the community that I was able to build and am grateful for my co-performers for being such supportive people to me.”
Apollo Moon’s untimely death has left a void in the communities he touched.
His cause of death remains undisclosed, but his memory endures in the lives of those he inspired.
His family, friends, and fans continue to honor his life and the profound impact he made during his short but impactful time.
