Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh, has taken a significant step toward crafting her own identity by adopting a new name.

At 19, Shiloh debuted her work as a choreographer at a dinner event celebrating the launch of French designer Isabel Marant’s capsule collection in partnership with Net-A-Porter.

Performing under a new name, she choreographed a sensual routine for dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki, set to the music of singer Luella’s track ‘Naïve,’ according to Variety.

Shiloh is not the only member of the Jolie-Pitt family to alter her name.

Her younger sister, Vivienne, was credited as Vivienne Jolie when working as a producer’s assistant for the Broadway production of The Outsiders in 2024.

Likewise, 20-year-old Zahara introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie during a sorority event at Spelman College.

A source close to Pitt shared his emotional response to the news with People, saying: “He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name.

“He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter… It’s very sad.”

Jolie and Pitt share six children together: Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Their relationship began in the early 2000s and culminated in marriage in 2014.

However, Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, citing alleged abuse during a private flight.

Pitt denied the accusations, and no charges were filed following an FBI investigation.

The protracted legal battle concluded in December 2024.

Jolie’s attorney, James Simon, remarked, per FOX: “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt… She is relieved this one part is over.”

Despite the finalization, the emotional aftermath clearly continues to affect both parents and children.

This public use of a nickname follows Shiloh’s earlier legal move to distance herself from her father’s name.

In May 2024, shortly after her 18th birthday, she formally requested the removal of Pitt from her hyphenated surname.

A legal notice regarding the change appeared in the Los Angeles Times, prompting some media outlets to suggest she had publicized the change intentionally.

Her attorney, Peter Levine, pushed back on this implication, telling FOX: “The media should be more careful in their reporting, especially when covering a young adult who has made an independent and significant decision following painful events, and is merely following legal process.”
