Ariana Grande Breaks Silence On Weight Loss In Heartbreaking Confession
Ariana Grande has spoken out after receiving a heartbreaking diagnosis, as users online continue to speculate about her health and weight loss.
The marketing campaign behind the release of the Wicked films was comparable to a full-scale cultural takeover.
But even still, the main talking point around the blockbuster has been the cast’s size.
Rumors and speculation about Grande’s health have been widespread across social media following the release of Wicked: For Good last month.
During the film’s promotional period, online users repeatedly commented on the star’s weight, as well as other cast members.
People on TikTok have claimed that both Grande and her co-star, Cynthia Erivo, have lost a significant amount of weight since becoming part of the franchise.
Is Wicked a cursed franchise?
There is also a conspiracy suggesting Wicked is a cursed story, as many of the Wizard of Oz actors from the original film suffered during the process.
Judy Garland, who played Dorothy in the 1939 classic, struggled with physical and emotional abuse during the filming.
This allegedly included studio-mandated weight loss pills, pressure to conform to a specific look, and harassment from cast and crew members.

Buddy Ebsen, the original Tin Man, suffered severe lung damage after inhaling aluminum dust from his makeup.
Margaret Hamilton, who played the original Wicked Witch, suffered severe burns to her face when the fire stunt in her entrance scene went wrong.
Her copper-based makeup was also a toxic chemical.
However, Grande, who plays Glinda the good witch in the new Wicked films, has spoken out about her recent health diagnosis – and the press tour has been far from smooth sailing.

During celebrations in Singapore, a man jumped the red carpet barricades and rushed toward the ‘7 Rings’ singer, and consequently, he was jailed for nine days.
It’s not the first celebrity he has attacked.
He jumped on stage at a Katy Perry concert earlier this year, and crashed The Weekend’s Melbourne show in the same manner.
At a Screen Actors Guild screening in Los Angeles days later, Erivo reflected on the ordeal, and said: “I mean, f***, even this last week.
“Let’s be honest, for f***’s sakes, we’ve had to really deal with some stuff, and this movie has allowed us to really grow as people, as friends, as sisters, as artists, as actresses.”
And recently, Grande went viral after she became emotional in an interview in which she discussed beauty standards.

Tearing up, she said: “I’ve been kind of doing this in front of the public and kind of been a specimen in a petri dish really since I was 16 or 17, so I have heard it all.
“I’ve heard every version of it – of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons.”
She noted that people have become way too comfortable commenting on the weight of others.
The singer added: “There is a comfortability that we shouldn’t have at all – commenting on others’ looks, appearance, what they think is going on behind the scenes or health or how they present themselves.”
Speaking of her wellbeing, Grande said: “It’s not welcome. I have work to do, I have a life to live, I have friends to love on… and it’s not invited, so I don’t leave space for it anymore.”
Up until recently, the 32-year-old has always maintained a silence despite continued speculation around her weight.
Just last week, Grande reposted the above interview, with the caption: “Resharing this from last year as a loving reminder to all.”
But it’s not the only thing she’s been battling recently.
Grande’s diagnosis
The singer confirmed that she had tested positive for Covid, marking another setback in the Wicked press cycle.
Grande has previously tested positive at separate times during filming of the first movie, along with her co-star, Erivo.
Following the diagnosis, Grande withdrew from a pre-taped appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she was due to appear alongside Erivo.
Her co-star, who plays Elphaba, went ahead without her.
