Hudson Meek Has Died Aged 16
Hudson Meek has tragically died aged 16.
The young actor was best known for his role as Young Baby in Baby Driver and appearances in TV shows such as Genius, Found, and MacGyver.
According to his IMDb page, his acting career dates back to 2014, when he starred in The Santa Con movie.
Meek was described in a published obituary as an ‘accomplished actor’ who ‘worked on several major motion pictures and television shows, some of which will be released in 2025.’
Meek’s passing was confirmed in a post on Instagram that read: “Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight.
“His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”
Tributes are pouring in on social media following the devastating news of his passing.
One fan writes: “Very sad. RIP.”
“Too young,” adds another.
A third says: “So young to be taken from us. Rest in peace, you sweet soul.”
“Damn, so genuinely tragic,” comments someone else. “My heart goes out to his family and friends.”
The J Pervis Talent Agency also described Meek as a ‘cherished member’ of its family in a post on December 23, penning: “Hudson was an extraordinary young talent, whose dedication, passion, and promise shone brightly within our industry.
“Over the past 10 years, he contributed so much to the spirit of our agency and his loss leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all of us.
“Hudson was more than just a talent, he was a source of inspiration and touched so many lives with his enthusiasm, kindness, smile, and innate ability to light up a room and never meet a stranger.
“He will be remembered with great affection by us all.”
Meek died after reportedly falling from a moving car in Alabama on Thursday, December 19.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said he sustained blunt force injuries when he fell in the 1900 block of Canyon Road in Vestavia Hills, reports AI.com.
Local news outlets reported that the young actor was taken to UAB Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on December 21.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say Meek’s death is being treated as an accident and have ruled out foul play.
They also say there were no signs of drugs or alcohol.
Still, the actor’s death remains shrouded in mystery as it’s unclear whether the incident involved a vehicle or vehicles crashing, if anyone else was involved in any way at all, or if Meek was behind the wheel.
Officers are continuing to investigate the incident.
Meek is survived by his parents, older brother, grandmothers, and other relatives.
