Britney Spears’ Fans Left ‘Frightened And Alarmed’ By ‘Disturbing’ Latest Post
Britney Spears has worried fans with her new post on social media.
The ‘Toxic‘ singer has been concerning fans for a while now with her erratic social media content.
The superstar has always posted whatever she wants on her Instagram profile, with fans often commenting to ask if she is okay.
Many fans are concerned for Spears’ mental health, as her struggles have been well-documented over the years.
Spear had previously been under a conservatorship, but is now looking after herself again and is responsible for her social media presence.
The pop star often shares videos of herself twirling and dancing for the camera, even brandishing knives, as well as claiming she’s ‘five years old’ and ‘attending kindergarten.’
A biopic about Spears’ life is in the works with Universal, but very little is known about it or who will star as the singer.
According to TMZ, they paid ‘in the low eight figures’ for the rights to her controversial memoir, ‘The Woman in Me,’ as well as the music catalogue to accompany the works from producer Marc Platt.
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown previously expressed an interest in playing Britney, to which Spears reacted angrily.
Spears lashed out, saying: “I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life… dude, I’m not dead!!! Although it’s pretty f***ing clear they preferred me dead.”
The ‘Gimme More’ singer also raised alarm when she recently tried to smoke a cigarette on a flight, saying it was the ‘first time’ she had tried vodka and announced she ‘needed a cigarette so bad.’
Her friend is said to have lit one for the singer, leading to the flight attendant ‘calling officials because I smoked a cigarette.’
Spears switched off the comments on the post about the chaotic flight.
She has also posted photos and videos in lingerie, questioning: “Why conservatorship has me wear three layers of tights for 20 years, hmmm?”
In Spears’ latest video, the singer adopts a fake British accent as she talks to her 156 plus million social media followers.
One fan called the post ‘frightening’ and pleaded for someone to check in with the singer.
Another commented: “Poor Britney, please pray for her,” while another said: “So sad!”
Holding her hands up to the camera, Spears gestures to her chipped, broken fingernails.
“Like really little. So little it’s weird, but I have a little bitty pinky nail,” she exclaimed.
“I haven’t had nails since I was in the seventh grade. I’m, like, freaking out. They’re really, really tiny, but still.”
She grimaced as she showed a close-up of her nails, while also wearing messy blonde hair extensions and plenty of smudged black eyeliner.
However, not all fans think the video is bad, insisting it’s a sign of good progress for the star, with one penning: “What else could she be talking about? How are people spinning this into something it’s not? Poor Brit can’t even post about nails. Love Brit.”
One fan agreed it was a positive sign for her mental health: “Her anxiety always made it so she would bite her nails off. This shows me she’s less anxious overall.”
