Bruce Springsteen Forced To Postpone All His Tour Dates After Being ‘Taken Ill’
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have postponed the remaining dates of their 2023 tour after the rock icon has been ‘taken ill’.
The ‘Born In The USA’ singer, 74, is one of the biggest-selling artists of all time – having sold over 150 million records around the world.
Known for hits such as ‘Dancing In The Dark’, ‘Born To Run’ and ‘I’m On Fire’, Springsteen has collected numerous awards throughout his career – including 20 Grammy awards and even an Oscar for his song ‘Streets Of Philadelphia’.
Unfortunately, Springsteen has had to postpone the rest of his tour due to health concerns.

In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Springsteen has explained to fans that he is recovering ‘steadily’ from a peptic ulcer.
According to WebMD, a peptic ulcer is when ‘you get open sores in the lining of your stomach or the upper part of the small intestine’.
This occurs when your stomach acids etch away your digestive tract’s protective layer of mucus and it can lead to internal bleeding – which can sometimes mean that you’ll need to have blood transfusions.
The statement on the ‘Tougher Than The Rest’ singer’s Instagram reads: “Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice.
“With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024.”
It adds that new dates for 2024 will be announced soon and those unable to attend these dates will have 30 days to request a refund.
Springsteen has added a personal message at the end, in which he pens: “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

Fans of Springsteen have commented on the post to send their best wishes to the ‘Growin Up’ artist.
“Protect Bruce at all costs!!” writes one person.
Another fan comments: “While I am sad for the fans who will miss concerts, I must say I am very happy to hear that Bruce is going to take good care of himself we love you Bruce, continue to get well, we are not going anywhere and we’ll be right here waiting for you.”
“Nothing is more important than his full recovery,” pens a third.
Someone else adds: “Your health is the most important thing! Wishing you all the best, take good care of yourself and see you further on up the road.”

A fifth person says: “We hope you entirely recover and come back strong in 2024. We will be there side by side with you.”
Springsteen announced the postponement of nine September tour dates earlier this month, revealing the peptic ulcer disease diagnosis, as per Billboard.
This news came after the rock icon postponed (and subsequently rescheduled) his August 16 and 18 shows in Philadelphia.
Back in March, three shows were postponed for an unspecified illness.
