Bruce Willis’ Will Leaves Daughters With Demi Moore Just ‘$1 Million Each’
Bruce Willis is said to be planning to leave each of his daughters he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore just ‘$1 million each,’ in his will.
We should probably caveat with the fact that $1 million is an incredibly generous inheritance, and one that most people would dream about.
But when you factor in Willis’ reported $250 million net worth, it might make the actor’s decision a little confusing to some people.
Willis is widely regarded as one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, thanks to iconic roles in blockbuster hits including Die Hard and Pulp Fiction.
When news broke that Willis would be stepping away from acting, fans around the world were heartbroken.
At the time, his family released a joint statement explaining that the actor would be ‘stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him’ because of ongoing health concerns.
It was later revealed that Willis had been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects a person’s ability to communicate due to damage in the part of the brain responsible for language processing.
Following the announcement, countless fans took to social media to share their support.
One wrote: “I love every single movie he was ever in. Saying a prayer for Bruce and his family.”
Another added: “I’m saddened to hear that Bruce Willis has retired from acting at the age of 67 due to being diagnosed with aphasia.
“Let’s show some support, love and appreciation for this amazing actor.”
A difficult health journey
After Willis’ aphasia diagnosis became public, his family later provided another update regarding his condition.
In a statement issued by his wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore, and his five daughters, in 2002, they shared that the actor had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
According to the Mayo Clinic, frontotemporal dementia ‘is an umbrella term for a group of brain diseases that mainly affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. These areas of the brain are associated with personality, behavior, and language.’
Since then, Willis’ loved ones have continued to keep fans informed about his health.
During celebrations for the actor’s 69th birthday, Emma reflected on their life together and encouraged supporters to focus on the positives.
“I can make a choice. I can wallow in sorrow, or I can celebrate it. I call this the ‘remarkable reframe’. What I know is there is so much to celebrate,” Emma wrote.
“Our union and connection is probably stronger than ever. We have two bright, fun and healthy daughters. We have a family unit that is built on mutual respect and admiration. And simply, I just love and adore the man I married. I’m so proud of what we have and continue to create. So, happy crystal anniversary to us!”
More recently, in January 2026, she opened up about the fact her husand is unaware of his diagnosis, stating ‘the blessing and the curse of this is that Bruce never tapped in.’
“He never connected the dots that he had this disease. I’m really happy about that. I’m really happy he doesn’t know about it,” Emma said during an interview on Conversations With Cam, adding that ‘he is still very much present in his body.’
Emma went on to say the actor is still knows who his loved ones are, as the symptoms of his condition differ from Alzheimer’s.
“He has a way with connecting with me, our children, that might not be the same as you would connect with your loved one, but it’s still very beautiful and meaningful. It’s just different. You just learn how to adapt,” she explained.
Looking ahead and planning for the future
As Willis and his family adjusted to life following his diagnosis, reports suggest the actor was also focused on making important long-term decisions.
RadarOnline has alleged that Willis updated his will just days before learning of his rare brain disease.
According to the report, the actor wanted to make sure his ‘young family,’ including daughters Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn, whom he shares with Emma, would be financially secure in the years ahead.
The outlet claims that the bulk of Willis’ fortune has therefore been designated for Emma and their two daughters.
Why his three eldest daughters reportedly receive $1 million each
Reports indicate that Willis’ daughters with Demi Moore, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, will each receive $1 million.
A source close to the actor reportedly explained: “He believes Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah have gotten the best of what he has to offer financially throughout their lives.”
According to the report, Willis feels confident that his three oldest daughters are capable of supporting themselves financially, having each established careers of their own.
Rumer works as an actress, primarily appearing in independent films, while Scout has built a career as a singer-songwriter. Tallulah, meanwhile, has pursued opportunities in the fashion industry.
The report also claims that Willis takes comfort in knowing Moore will continue to support their daughters, which is said to have influenced his decision regarding the distribution of his estate.
